Yesterday the price in this area of Utah was 2.73. I don't know what it is today. I filled up my tank a couple of days ago when a friend told me to before the prices got so crazy.

In California where I used to live, it was 3.29 earlier today.

I didn't realize so many of you were dealing with such high prices... San Diego usually has higher prices than most of the country. Not so now. ._.

So when gas prices are more sane, like 2- 2:50 a gallon, how much should a barrel be?

I just trained my truck to run on water. Just hose it down, man. That'll get me around for a few days. The truck's skin absorbs the water via osmosis. And if I let it watch episodes of Magnum P.I., it can fire shark rockets.

The highest gas I saw on the news was $5.97 at a Bp somewhere, for regular.

$2.99 is the current lowest I've seen here. I fear it will eventually go up from there though.... my dad's truck possibly costs $60-$70 to fill up now and my car is around $30. <------That was only the last time I filled it up. I wouldn't be surprised to see a much higher total when the time comes again.

For these reason (price) is why I'm investing in a motorcycle or moped.

I mean, I don't care how if they look dumb (moped), but I could care less if I'm the only one on the road. I mean, if it got to like $5 gallon (hopefully not) but I could fill up on like $10 and still have some for next week.

To answer your question, the cheapest I've seen (for regular) is $2.91. As for the Canadians around here, $1.135/L really IS high, compared to when I went there three years ago (highest I saw was $.85/L)

2.85 on Tuesday night when I filled up at about 7pm ($37.00 for my Accord), Wednesday evening it was up to 3.35; eastern NE/west IA.

gas has been about $3.50-$3.20 here. and they have been saying gas is going to go up!at least my truck gets about 28 or so mpg the tbird gets 15 mpg when your easy on it and 11-10 mpg when you open it up.

And to think, a week or two ago, we were all thinking 'wow, $1.029/L!'
Some gas stations didn't have enough digits to hold the prices.

No, I don't drive, but I usually get driven, since I live in the northeast corner of the city. Go go Metro Toronto Zoo!

My brother works for a gas station. He reports gas prices have varied through out the day.

When he went in to work yesterday morning, it was US$2.999 per gallon. It peaked at $3.499 and and settled at $3.199 when he left after eight hours of work.

The gas prices changed four times while he was at work and he reported that his gas station was loosing $.20 per gallon when he left.

That's pretty crappy; the gas prices here (as of yesterday) were just a shade under a dollar/litre. Thankfully, I can walk or take the bus to pretty much anywhere I need to go, but I am concerned about what this will do to food prices.

I found some for 2.97 today and was happy. Never thought I would say that. Most places are already at like 3.50.

The last I checked, it was about $3.50 a gallon here. That was late yesterday, though. It's been moving around a LOT. At this point, I'm VERY thankful that I only live about 2 miles from work and that I have a small truck. It also means I get to see my family a bit less, though However, my heart goes out to the people who have to commute. *hugs poor souls*

You know...telling my age, I remember when I started driving and gas was about 89 CENTS a gallon. Seriously. *misses that*

I work in a grocery store that also has a gas station section. Somedays I work as a cashier, others as the gas station attendant. Everytime I work out there I get yelled at by customers about the gas prices... the things is that I don't control the price of gas; corporate office does. I just take your money and flip the numbers on the sign. That's it.

Today, the cheapest I saw was 2.79 (only one), then the rest were either 2.82 or 2.99/gal.

ive heard talk over the cb of truckers just stopping and sitting it out for a couple weeks. And i perfectly well agree thats what the privately owned ones are probably going to have to do.
