When you think about your user name...does it fit your gender?

Postby ChristianKitsune » Thu Sep 01, 2005 2:44 pm

Just out of curiosity.. when you REALLY think of your user name... does it describe a male, female or Doesn't matter?

Do people mistake you for the opposite gender because of your username?

I think for me, ChristianRonin sounds a lot like a guy's UN.. and I have been called a guy numerous times...

but I want to know...about your name! ^_^ Does this happen to you?

I think my name speaks for itself.

...But to be honest, if I'd had more brain power on the day I chose it, I probably would have chosen something else.

You would probably know me now as BBladeKai879 or something equally... numberful... XD. So you can all be glad I just went with my name! ^^

Nope, I don't think mine fits my gender. I haven't been around here very long, but I found kinda quickly that my name must sound like a guy's. And it must sound like a young guy's ... I got a really funny message or two at the beginning where I was quite obviously mistaken for someone I'm not. heehee! Not many old female mech-heads around I guess!

I think my username is pretty darn feminine, considering it's just a female japanese name. . . and my avatar supports that notion, I think. . . at least I don't know of many GUYS who would want either. . . ??

I'm not sure, earlier today I was mistaken for a girl, but I don't think it was because of me screename.

Steeltemplar definitely sounds like a guy name.

And besides.....it's inspired by a song by the metal band Hammerfall. Can you get more masculine?

Well the easiest way to clear up any gender questions for people is to use the gender symbols.:P

My name is very masculine means "bodyguard." From the movie and FFX mostly from the movie.

In contrast to my previous statement , I have decided to change my username asap. It will henceforth probably be Scribs I am now waiting for a responce from our wonderful head admin and founder, who has a distinctly feminine name.

I think that the name scribs is pretty masculine.

I have been mistaken for a girl once, but that was by someone who had seen Tenchi Muyo. I'm not sure the name really fits who I am, but it sounded good and I liked the character so I went with it.

The only trouble I've ever had with my screename was on some automotive forums, where people accused me of being a wannabe ricer simply because of my avatar and screename. So moral of the story is.......never mention anything that sounds remotely Japanese around musclecar guys.
