have you illuded(got out of) death? i'm asking this because on friday when i was working i realized that i had almost drowned in the pool just about 7 times and i had a wreck with a three-wheeler where i flew off it and it landed on my ankle when it could have landed on my head and in the other time i was in a go-kart and the same three-wheeler ran across my nose after the tires hit each other this could have ripped of my face or my head (i wasnt wearing a helmet on both accounts). either i'm beyond lucky or i'm to do something great in my life.

so what about you?

Why must we be abandoned in times of need?
Do others not see when we yearn for their touch;
An insatiable hunger only they can feed.
Left alone with out their words – fallen into darkness.
Stumbling blindly without their light,
We fall and scream, knowing we've faced too much,
Knowing the only answer is flight.
Flight from the lives we once faced
And the joys and terrors others have brought.
Our time with them, a time of joy and life,
Wonder we all, was it for naught?

I almost fell off a cliff when I was exploring a cave with some friends. . . and then there was another time when I was in a pool as a little kid and wanted to try swimming without my "floaties" so I sneaked out of the pool and took them off and jumped back in, and quickly discovered that swimming is not quite as simple as it looks. Dad had to jump in fully clothed to pull me out. Those are my only two near-death experiences. The former was worse than the latter though.

At least twice that I know of off the top of my head. Possibly more than that depending on what I count. I would have died before I was born if my mother hadn't had a cessarian.

Well before I was born I was upside down.. so.. my mom had to have a cessarian as well...

then when I was four I thought I could fly so I jumped off a rather tall counter and knocked my two front teeth out, I could have hit my head or something..

When I was in the Fifth Grade I was hit by a car. I walked away from that though. My bike died...

Um... letshee... I have been in a car accident... blech... and I can't remember anything else... >.< Thankfully, God is watching out for me! And I believe taht you will do something big, Myth.. God has plans for all of us!

When I was one year old I ate rat poison and later that same year I ate muscle relaxers.

when I was little I fell and hit my head on a sharp rock, they say nothing was damaged...

numerous asthma encounters as a child...

this past February, I went on my high-school's (I guess ex-high school now) winter retreat. They have one side of the hill that they hose down at night and it freezes over into a tube run. well, one day early in the morning when it was most frozen, a few of my friends and I went out to ride it. Smart me, I took the most massive tube and went to the fastest tube route. Physically, things didn't go as planned, and I flew off the final bank and lost my tube. The angle at which my body was, I could have sworn that I was gonna land on my head, but somehow I did a full flip and landed on my feet in the middle of the street... and quickly moved to my butt. My friends probably assumed that I was dead at that point since I was out of their sight, but I quickly yelled up at them to reasure them that I was unharmed.
And then, not 20 seconds later, someone else did the same thing... though he landed on his back rather than his feet. Never seen someone get the wind knocked out of them quite so bad.

Yeah, speed's a good way to shorten your lifespan. Fun way too.

I can think of a few. Almost drowned 2 times. Both times in a pool when I fell in as a toddler. Other times when I almost died are as follows: Lost a lot of blood almost too much from getting badly injured and lastly, when I was boogie boarding and a wave that was WAY to big came tossing me and th boogie board into the shallow water where I fell on a pointed part of the board and almost broke my rib cage. Well, I guess that one doesn't count but oh well! Hope you enjoyed reading this! Thank God I am still alive! :)

Heh. I lost count.

1. Almost got ran over by my grandfather as a kid...long story involving me being between a truck and a pile of shingles...heh.
2. Lots of stuff at work...falling pallets...getting hit in the back with stuff... LOL. I won't go any further...suffice to say Grocery store work is more dangerous then its given credit for. The scary thing is...how many times have we cheated death and not even known? I have had a few car accidents...thank God I was spared in them. All the more reason to be Christians I think....just in case somthing goes amiss...its no big deal. ^^

When I was 6 months, I (tried) ate some plastic, and choked on it. Luckily, my Dad was around, and saved me.

When I was 8, I almost choked on a corn dog V_Vx....

That's it I think.

hmmmm....well, as Shatterheart said, "How many times have we cheated death and not even known it?" I would have to say that for me, probably a lot seeing that even though I am a natural brunette my hair was platinum blond when I was born....
Anyways, I had rubella when I was a toddler....hadn't been vaccinated yet because we were living in Wales and, since they don't (or didn't back then) vaccinate childen for certain things, they had to send away to the states for the vaccine and it came too late....
Then, again when I was small (I don't know how old) my grandma's dog attacked and nearly killed me....
Then, I was caving with a class at CSUN about four years ago and on our hike down the mountain back to our cars after the three day trip I collapsed on the trail near a cliff edge because I hadn't eaten anything that morning.... (I don't know if that one counts....)
Then, two years ago....the guy who slipped me a mickey on our date....held me hostage in his apartment....that could have been more dangerous than it turned out to be....
and...many other situations that I put myself in that were potentially life threatening....I could list them...but then this post would be toooooooo looooonnnnggg.....
I must say that my mom told me once that she worries that one day she'll turn on the news and the report would be about me....
becuase sometimes I just don't think...too trusting...
I jokingly told my mom once that my guardian angel probably needs a vacation...and she replied that knowing me...I've probably had SEVERAL guardian angels through time....heck, after a few MONTHS of watching over me they probably put in for an early retirement!!! :)

I nearly drowned in a neighbors pool as a toddler and I nearly choked to death on small objects twice, also as a toddler. It pays to have a mother who is an RN. She had to give me the Heimlich both times.

Whoa. Like, at first i couldn't think of any, but then i remembered one. I fell backwards off our church's stage (which was cuilt higher cause of the spring contata) and i fell on my back. There were wooden blocks with smaller wooden blocks placed on top of them (for which reason, to this day, i am still unsure) and they were laying right to the side of where i landed. I could have been seriously hurt if i landed on them. It happened so suddenly, cause i was backing up whilst talking to the director and Whoosh! off teh stage (it's funny now that i think back to it). I jumped up from the ground after i realized after a second that i was on the ground. Other people were so surpirsed, they got me in a circle and prayed for me, while i was sayen "Im ok" LOL. sooo scary. I think that day something else dangerous happened, but i can't remember. I seriously think that God puts his gardian angels around us and protects us from things sometimes.

God rocks!
