There is an injection that you can get for individual pimples which I think is Salysilic acid and there is also a patch by I think neutrogena that you wear overnight and it either shrinks or gets rid of acne in an area. Personally I've tried putting vodka on a cotton swab and dabbing at certain areas and that works well. Although the only reason we had that was because we had company so I guess I can't do that anymore. I have noticed that high quality white tea helps for me. When I quit drinking it my acne usually gets worse. I think I'll try a baking soda paste though and see how that works.

Your face looks fine. You don't need it.

As for me, though...I hardly have any acne left (using Proactive every day and it mostly works) but now I'm left with these unsightly red bloches on my face that I can't seem to get rid of. (There's a huge one on my cheek....it's been there for almost a year now and it's not going away. >.<) I did mix Baking soda and water and dabbed it on my face and let the baking soda dry for a few hours before washing it off but it really didn't do anything. Toothpaste feels good on the face but it isn't having much effect on me either. Anybody have a good solution for red marks?

You look fine kiddo. But if you want to debate me on that one (you always do) then I think there is a laser treatment of some kind that might be able to help.

Powered wheat germ. I know it sounds gross but it really works. You can buy a lotion called Aveeno with wheat germ in it and put it on your face. You have to let it set like with the baking soda but it helps alot. ^^

No, don't do that. You need money for Con! :D....

Besides, I'm going to try that Baking Powder thing again. Maybe I wasnt' doing it right. Do I rub in the baking powder or just let it dry on my face?

Well the first thing would be to not use Baking Powder. It's baking soda. Although they are almost the same thing except BP has cream of tartar added to it so when baking you don't need an extra acid to activate it. But thats not the topic here. You rub it in a little bit and then let it dry I believe.

Well, I don't think we have Baking Powder anyway...okay Baking Soda. And wouldn't BP be better anyway since it instantly activates.

Going a bit offtopic....which is the one required to make a Grade School Science Fair Project Volcano? Baking Powder or Baking Soda?

Baking soda is used for the volcano effect thingy. And BP probably isn't the best because I don't exactly know what effect cream of tartar would have besides making you taste like lemon ;) (I put it in cheap tea when I dont have liquid lemon juice or fresh lemons.)

salicylicc acid is used to also get rid of warts and corns....

Wikipedia.org wrote:Salicylic acid is the key additive in many skin-care products for the treatment of acne, keratosis pilaris and warts. It treats acne by causing skin cells to slough off more readily, preventing pores from clogging up.

If you want to burn your face off, go ahead and slather it on. Otherwise, I'd stay away from using salicylic acid for acne.

If you want to burn your face off

YAY SCARS!!!

I don't get acne so it's not a problem for me, but I might get one or two tiny spots on my forehead.

...(i fall asleep in the tub)...

Jah, me too, except in the shower. I sit in the shower because I have the tendency to fall over. Eventually I'll curl up on the floor with my head on a washcloth and go to sleep. XD

Nothing but lies, No Cream has ever done me any good becuase no one seems to understand the real reason why we get acne. Anyway I bought some baking soda because it's my favorite natural tooth whitener. And On the back it said it was cool to put it in your bath for "soft exfoliated skin".

So i put in more than i needed. 1/3 of the box into the tub...(i fall asleep in the tub)... And when i got out. My first words were "Wow". I emediately noticed a lot of the redness was gone, and the discoloration that acne causes on the skin has really started to blend out.

I'm wondering if any of you guys can try this and share your results. This was my first time trying this but I'm going to make it my regular routine for a few weeks to see what happens.

Just thought i'd share.

WHOA! that's sounds soo cool volt. I'll have to try it!
