How does your room look like??

Postby Kenchii » Mon Nov 24, 2003 1:30 pm

I was wondering how your room looked like. Do you have posters? Crosses? Unique things? is it all pink?? O.o.. well yeah, I thought it would be a cool idea

Well, my delightfuly room is tan with 1 lamp and boombox. next to it are my music CDs. Then my small TV with my PS2, gamecube, saturn, dreamcast. and my bed with sofa and 1 chair. I have 4 posters, Trigun, & Linkin Park, Linkin Park, Inuyasa (I don't even like this anime o_O) and The Used. Other posters I drew on and taped them up, mainly rock bands. I also have my guitar and amp with mixer.. ect, and my gamepro magazine collection. sweat:

My bed is next to my South wall, my TV and PS2 is up to the East wall. I have a dresser at the North wall and a desk to the north wall as well. My wallpaper is a blue one. I have a lot of posters about 7 or 8, just some anime and music. That's about my room, and all I have. I am not proud of it, it's very small.

My room? I'm not sure I can really add much to this one. There isn't really any room in the apartment here that the wolf hasn't got a piece of art in. (Not that I would want it any other way!) I guess I don't really have a 'just mine' room any more. Hmm... I hadn't really thought of it that way before. What about us 'old married people' then? Do we get to have a say about our 'rooms?'

Hmmm.... I have a decent size room. It's clean and organized. The wall color is white, but hard to tell with the Posters:
I'm surrounded by Video game posters; Mario(6), Zelda (2), Star Wars(6), Robotech, Star Fox, Metal Gear, and a bunch of others.

My room is divided into three corners:

First:
My bed, which is a blue double size. Beside my bed is a nightstand, which has a black lamp, Boom Box, and above that is small shelf with a Shoot gun shells, Rattle snake tails, .22 Bullets, and Sporting Clays. At the end of my bed is a large shelf with my Video game collection, DVDs, Nintendo Power Magazines, and on top of it are various car and spy plane models.
Second:
My dresser, with my computer I built, VCR, phone, lamp, old Orion TV on top and shelf above that with random Video game display boxes.
Third:
My computer desk (On top: Dell XPS, CD (over 350!), 15’ monitor, printer/scanner, strategy game guides, front speakers, WW2 ammo boxes, Tank models. Under: Sub woofer, Mother board boxes, Graphic card boxes, and more boxes with computer parts.)
Behind my desk chair is a 18 year old RCA furniture style TV with my rear speakers on it.

O'yeah, I have crosses hanging from hooks on the ceiling (one marble, one steel, one brass, and the last a Byzantine Orthodox style one.) and US flags on each corner.

I love my room!

My room consists of a bed near the window going the length of my room. I have pics and drawing of various things lining my walls ( such as cats, a car, pop-tart, baseball, etc.). A few feet from the end of my bed is an old stereo system (it has a phonograph! :o - along with cd player and dual tape deck) and a 15" t.v. along with a VCR. To the right of my bed is my computer with a bunch of junk in some plastic drawer type things to its right and to the computer's left is a bench full of more stuff and inbetween the two is some candy I haven't finnished of yet and not too sure if some of it is edible anymore. On the same desk as my computer is a cordless phone a bunch of floppy disks a halogen (sp?) lamp that needs a new bulb. To the left of my bed is bookshelf with, um, books! That's what I think to be my room. Oh, yeah, and the floor is just another shelf. ;)

I have two rooms, depending on whether I am at college or at home.

In my college dorm room (which I share with my Japanese roommate) my bed is next to the window, which runs the length of the room. My walls are pretty bare; then again, we can get fined by the fire marshall if we cover up too much wall space! Next to the bed is a fridge/microwave, and to the right of that is my bookshelf, with all of the books that I brought from home (my textbooks are on the floor :thumb: ). Next comes my desk, where I spend my of the time doing work, starting at the computer screen, or watching tv. On the far right wall is my closet, where I keep all of my clothes.

At home, I have a room to myself  , and it is a little more interesting than the dorm. On the far right wall I have a map (plat) that I worked on during my days as a surveyor...'s assistant :eyeroll: Anyway, I have a dresser below that. I keep my gundam and zoid models on top of that. Then there is a cabinet for my tv, games, dvd's, and consoles. On the wall opposite the door, I have two bookshelves and two windows. Both of the bookshelves are full, and I have another one on right wall (and another one in the hall, and another downstairs, and books in the closet  ). Between the bookshelves is a blue desk for laptop and academic slave labor. Then comes the bed, and another desk with random things on it. In addition, there is large mirror and a closet. I used to have a DBZ wallscroll on the far wall, but I took it down.

The walls are painted sky blue. :)

My room is pretty small - there are some music/anime/movie posters plus a few flyers on the walls and lecture notes/more flyers/random pieces of paper on the floor. The wall with the window in it has a desk with computers, music gear, and other pieces of electronics, which are connected together by a jungle of cables that has invaded the space underneath the desk. It's not a very tidy place.

only thing clean in my room is my bed. and the computer. nothing else.

i can see a soldering iron near my feet (under the desk), a monitor in front of me in a corner, CDs everywhere (literally, probably one under the speaker... yes, there is), my precious black NIV Bible on the top of all piles, lots of tissue boxes, rubbish bin (it's almost full, better empty it out...), a phone, a bottle of Fanta, 20cm high pile of A4 pages that goes on and on about anti-matter and other science stuff, 6V lantern, Oong-Gi (my big gorilla doll, quite old now i say), CD/radio thing, a clock, Rei posters all over the walls, etc etc.

so many things...

Well.. My bed is under my bed.(We cut a bunkbed in half so it has a tent area underneath.) I have a big wooden table where I spend most of the day drawing, and right next to that is two bookshelves filled with books and junk.. I got 2 kite's on the cieling and a lot of stars. I got a HUGE map on my wall. The sun and the 9 planets are also on my walls. I got a mirror in the corner next to my dresser. I got a keyboard right next to my stage make-up and costumes droors. My closet holds stage lights, puppets, and old stuff. (I just found a lot of drawings I drew when I was in the 2nd-4th grade!) It is full of a lot of stuff from diffrent countries!

my room is kinda weird. i traded my larger room for my sister's smaller room. my sister was into 101 dalmations long before i corrupted her (out of place humor). so i have white walls and red carpet 0_o. but if you throw up inu-yasha,trigun,lain,and a few other wallscrolls, red carpet isn't all that bad. and the silver throughout my room seems to complement the red carpet as well. i have my laptop that serves as my gate to the "other" world,my personal theater system(with subwoofers and sattelite speakers),and my telephone. across from my laptop is my couch. right next my couch is my fridge with a wide assortment of beverages for almost any taste. to the left of my room's entrance is my gaming station. i keep a few classic systems and the more current systems up and running most of the time. can't beat 32-bit graphics though XD. last but not least is my brainstorm bench. i sit here and draw, build gaming decks, and read from time to time. thats about it. kinda like the average college dorm. well,an average otaku's dorm that is.

*Looks around room* Hmmm...

Actually, I have this whole house to myself! Yay! Well, my brother is here, but he lives in his own trailer in the backyard and only comes in for food and stuff... my parents just left for their retirement property, and will be gone until after Christmas, and will only be coming back for short visits!

I'm going to start being charged rent in January.

But... my domain, my sanctuary... is my bedroom. Please excuse the mess... I'll give you a tour of some of the unique features.

That thing with the dissarryed blankets and the gray cat sleeping on it is my bed. On the west wall above it, you'll notice several items of art. Above the head/pillow area is a large Lord of the Rings poster of the Hobbits hiding from a mounted Ringwraith. I love Ringwraiths.. they're one of my "things"... so yeah, I saw it and had to get it... a friend bought it for me... It is the only item on this wall that is not an artwork done by me.

I'm sure you notice a collection of my odd "peaceable kingdom" paintings... anyway, that's what an art teacher in college called them when she saw them... I did a series of paintings while in the last year or so of High School and my early years of community college - on my own, mind you, not for classes, just for fun, of very strange animals in idyllic scenes. I have a few of these paintings scanned and posted to the first webiste in my sig (Higher Rhlem, my art site) if anyone wants to get a better idea of what I'm talking about. Thes paintings have things like purple lions and winged tigers in them... and a reccuring creature that I'm not sure how to describe beyond "four footed ostrich-thing". These are acrylics on canvas.

I also have, on that wall, a painting I did in high school of cheetahs, an oil painting in an Impressionst style I did of buffalo, and an acrylic on paper I stained with coffee of a still life of animal bones. I also have a few drawings on paper of creatures relating to my novel on the wall there...

Next, we come to the south wall over my bed. ANIME! In the mornings... I get to wake up to guns in my face! I have a poster of Agents aiming guns from the "A Detective Story" section of "The Animatrix" and a large Trigun wallscroll featuring Vash aiming his gun - right for you! Wolfwood is chillin' with a smoke and his cross in the background.

Then, there is my bookshelf. My 12 -inch Dark Vash figure is currently standing guard on top of it. I like to cuddle him when I sleep as if he were a teddy-bear, so he's only up there on guard duty about half the time. On top of the shelf with him are various volumes of mangas and some of my fantasy book collection. "The Ghatti's Tale" trilogy is up there, as well as "The Hobbit" and the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy. There's my alarm clock and my painted Rejection Letter Box, in which I hold rejection notices I've gotten from publishers an agents thus far on proposing my novel. I also have a couple of old rusted horse bits up there... I don't know what I'm going to use them for, but I think they're neat for whatever reason. Lower shelves of my bookshelf hold more books, more mangas... I got a 2003 Writer's Market in there, and the bottom shelf holds my anime and movies! Yay! They are mostly on VHS, but I have a few DVDs now that I've got a player.

Above my bookshelf hangs my ornamental medevial/fantasy-ish dagger, a painting I used for the cover design of my novel, and a print of my cover... I designed the cover for a couple of graphic design classes, so it's no big deal, not me being uber-egoed or anything. I happen to like how the project turned out.

Oh, there's my window and my art/drawing desk. It's a mess right now. I have a pillowcase with some halloween candy in it, a tub of carmel corn my boyfriend sent me, and an unfinished calf-skull I've been painting.

Oh, hello TV, VCR... NES console. Yep, NES... as in OLD SKOOL gaming... I've had it since I was 10... never got a system more advanced except for my little Gameboy Advance portable... You know, I feel like playing the second Zelda game.... "The Adventure of Link"... ah, them OLD original Zelda games!

Hey, my closet! It doesn't have doors anymore, but over it, in place of doors, I have hanging a large American flag. I used to have it over on the west wall above my bed (where all those paintings are now). I wuvvies my flag!

Heh, my tall mirror. I painted the frame on it gold and I have a little painting of a lion and a floral design... did that right on the glass with glass paint left over from a a project. I got suction cup thingies on it, which hold some of my jewelry... Heh... my little pewter Wolfwood cross.. that little necklace I made out of a rabbit-skull...heh....

Oh, YAY! Now you get to see my bone-shelf and bone wall! I got a shelf above my dresser (my ugly red-painted dresser I've had since I was 5 -_- ).... got some of my painted bones on it. Click the aforementioned Higher Rhlem in my sig if you wanna see 'em! I got cattle and elk sholder blades... a few calf-skulls... couple of leg bones... all painted with designs and stuff... got a plain cat skull I found and cleaned a few days ago sitting there, too... then, askew to that is a wall partially covered in more bone art - hanging on the wall!

Got my full-grown cow skull there... got my coyote skull... cow jaw... another cainine skull, my painted javelina skull, my unpainted javalina skull... unpainted skull and vertebrae section of what I think was once a skunk, my wonderful huge cow/steer pelvis (painted so that not an inch of bone color shows! And with fun desert animals and florals on it!), a couple of crosses I made out of calf leg bones and painted... ah, yes, I wuv my bones! I like... have a painted graveyard on my wall! Yay!

Oh, my computer desk and shelves.... I got Holiday Barbies on my shelves... also on the two shelves above that bone shelf... I've been receiving them as Christmas presents/collecting them since 1990. They are all in mint condition, on display, never removed from thier boxes - but, unlike most toys, they actually look good in thier boxes.. the boxes were designed to be as display cases for them. Ah, various stuffs on the shelves, too.. my two small mirrors painted with critters from my novel... my small collection of plastic big cats (two tigers and a cheetah).... my hollowed out Emu egg from when I worked at a zoo...

My computer desk with... computer stuff... Yeah, and next to my scanner is my small collection of action figures. Yes, Mulder, Scully, that is a Ringwraith. Morpheus, Neo, regular sized, normal colored Vash... go ahead and wave your guns around. Okay, Trigun mini-busts, you all get along, now! Heee... and my sparkly purple lava lamp... that's nice sometimes.

So, yeah, there's my room. Yeah, go ahead and run in fear from all my weird art, ya wimp!

I have half of a room to myself (that's what it's like when you have five other siblings.) Well my half of the room is the messy half. On the ledge above my bed I have my books, anime DVD's, manga, and CD cases...I have about 25 or so anime pics up on the wall. Most of them are ones that I drew myself... And I have this old Japanese flag that has been turned into a curtian...It's cool. And over in the other part of my half of the room I have a old peavey sound system to which I hook up my bass guitar which sits in a corner in its case. Yup....That's it.

It's kind of a blueish-dark-cloudy-day color. (is that a color?)
It has three wallscrolls, one of Kenshin, one of Chii, and one of Vash and Wolfwood that's over my bed (my beds more of a futon)
It's amazingly clean, cuz my parents and i painted it yesterday. All it has is a small comp. desk in the middle of the room, with drawings sccattered all over it.

Oh, yes, it has a window.^^

My room:
-Never messy
-X-file poster of Scully and Mulder hanged on the wall near the tv
-My art papers on the wall. *looks at it* ^_^
-Some of shoes are on the floor rite now
-Papers lying around on the computer's table
-Books on the floor
I always clean my room every weekend. Honestly...
"Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath." -James 1:19
