They own the tower out-right. Both Robin and Beast Boy come from very rich backgrounds and Starfire is a princess. They ought to be on pretty good financial grounds.

Even though he complains about it, it's a sure thing Cyborg will eat anything. He's not that picky. Where do they get all the tofu? My guess is the Nufu alien wasn't actually devoured by Cyborg.

Actually, I just realized that we do see some police types taking Kitten, Fang and Killer Moth away at the end of the prom episode. Still, it's not like they do much on their own.

Starfire appears in sleeping clothes at least once (the episode hit the little moth worm thing). Robin... seems to sleep in his clothes, cyborg has NO clothes and raven... eh... I don't remember.

Edit: they all wear robin's costume... does that count? (raven makes a cute robin too)

i've seen every ep of TT and love it, it's gotta be the 2nd or 3rd best DC show all-time (behind Batman TAS and maybe Superman TAS). I don't think it is accurate to call it an official anime, but it is relfectant of one, so I don't waste time and energy raving on it. I need to buy the DVDs for TT as soon as possible...

The Trigon storyline was the best so far.Actually when I first heard the name

That's a little harsh. I feel sorry for you if you can't simply enjoy a show for what it is without fretting over whether it's trying to copy another culture's style. I also feel sorry for you because you feel the need to trash a show in a thread dedicated to its fans.

The real question is, how much have they prevented?

And, how much more damage have they prevented than caused? Most of the villains don't seem too bent on causing widespread destruction (though of course they do, because nothing can be menacing until it crushes a few buildings). This also begs another, equally pointless question: does Trigon's destruction of Earth count? Technically speaking the Titans didn't prevent it, unless the solution at the end involved altering time.

I think that I have little to say outside of termyt's response, except to point out that the administration would prefer you try to avoid such intentional and unbeneficial conflict, and to make a short comment to follow.

To a certain degree I understand your objection. However, an important aspect of your accusation is "wannabe." As I have said before, the creator of Teen Titans said in an interview that he was not trying to emulate the anime style, merely using elements that he liked.

Although being able to run at light speed also has it's advantages.Think of being able to live in Seattle or Portland and being able to commute to work in LA or

There is the slight downside of having to avoid otehr people and objects of the ground when traveling at such speeds. You'd really have to pay close attention. Not that you wouldn't when flying, of coruse. How would you like to get a bird stuck up your nose?

Teen Titans is by far the only decnt cartoon in the states. Alot of its style is clearly anime based.

Superheroes and Supervillians and they're relgious affliation.Rogue's
Southern Baptist,Gambits a Catholic and Wolverine's an Atheist.According to
the page Robin is supposedly Evangelical Protestant and Bats is Catholic.
I don't know where they get all the information however for the X Men they
used the Ultimate X Men for the info.

Well, the new season of Teen Titans is but days away, any thoughts?

...um... hello? Anybody? Well, now that the season premere has come and gone, I have a few thoughts.

Homecoming is a pretty interesting episode, in that it seems to continue a change in direction that The End started. After all this time deliberately avoiding getting into anyone's backgrounds, we suddenly get a pretty darn good look at Beast Boy's pre-Titan days. Also, the Doom Patrol actually refer to each other by their REAL names as well as their hero identities. Talk about a change in attitude.

But I don't know if that's a good road for the show to go down, as much as I like that sort of thing. I have to confess that i was pretty underwhelmed but this episode. I couldn't decide if they'd tried to cram too much into a single episode, or if they tried to stretch too little across one, but the whole thing felt under developed. The main problem is, in spite of the limited attempts at getting into BB's history, we don't really get very much. The Doom Patrol just sort of sows up out of nowhere, with no introduction in previous episodes and next to one in this one. It's tough to build up much sympathy for Beat Boy's situation when there hasn't been any effort to add any emotional weight. It's good that the creators had enough sence to make the rest of the Titans confused that they never heard any stories about the Patrol, but that doesn't really solve the problem. The freaky thing is, this is exactly what I'd ranted about only a few pages earlier. Even when the show DOES try to get into the history of its characters, it's basic style prevents it from being satisfying. There's not enough serious stuff to be a succesful drama, nor is there enough humor to work as a romp (Beast Boy as a prop comic? )

Not that I hated the episode by any means. Even if the glimpses of Beast Boy's early days weren't as good as they could have been, it was still cool to see. (glad he got rid of the helmet) The cool, retro-spy music used in the episode was great too. Very Incredibles like. The repeated moments of Beast Boy wrestling with the "right thing" to do were pretty interesting too. Not to sound pesimistic, but I like it when things don't magically work out when a character "follows his heart." A very mature twist, even if it wasn't used to it's full potential (at least in part one)
