Shave!

Gentlemen - just a quick poll and then whatever comments you might have.

Electric Razor or a blade?

Also, how often do you shave? Select one shaving option and also one time option.

Preferred products?

Any tips you've picked up to make it quicker/easier/more comfortable?

I shave everyday, I've gotten to the point where it feels wrong not too.

I just use a regular disposable shaver and women's shaving creme. Believe it or not, but they work better than most mens' shaving creme.

Norelco electric, every day. But I think my next razor will be a self-cleaning Braun of some kind.

I started out with electric, went to blade, and am now back to electric. I have the unfortunate combination of heavy facial hair and sensitive skin, so I get a closer shave with a blade but it really bothers my skin. Electric does a good enough job but without the irritation. I shave every day except Saturday, unless I have an event.

i use a blade, mostly becuase im cheap, i dont have sensitive skin so i can even dry shave if i have to, the real question is how often do you change your blade, ill typicly use 2 a year (i use a mach 3) once i went a whole year on one blade.

Gillette Mach 3 (Blade) - Every other day.

It depends on the occasion, but I'll use a little aftershave just so my face feels smooth. My face isn't that sensitive, so I just use the Gillette Skin Renewal gel as it has a very calm scent in comparison to the other brands I've tried.

I do it with a butcher knife. No shaving cream. Three times a day. Eight days a week.

i use a blade, the mach 3, to be precise. I've tried elecric once but it severely caused me pain, so i stick to blade. i really only need to shave like once every couple of months or something.

Electric, every day.

My facial hair currently only comes as far as halfway out, meaning all I can achieve maximum is hair fuzz. Can't grow an actual beard yet, so I have to shave so I don't walk around looking like a dork. ;)

I try to use my blade every other day, but I usually end up doing it before events and church and stuff like that. Although, I have found that some of the lady-types like a gotee with a day or so's growth around it...

I started using one of those vibrating blades, so I don't know what that classifies as... But normally I would just use a blade.

Well, you know I HAD to post here... cause well... i had a "Facial-hair" themed post.

I shave every once in a while, when it needs a trim. I have weird growing hair on my face. Some is lighter than the rest, and some grows faster. It does seem to be the darked hair that grows the fastest. Which is interesting because its a thicker build than the lighter hair.

Yah, I got the Mach 3 Turbo with vibrating action... does so much better than a standard blade... yet it isn't quite electric...

I chose shave only for occasion because even though that isn't quite true, the option I needed wasn't available... I shave maybe once a week or every 5-6 days....
The Straight and Narrow

I chose to walk the straight and narrow road, but one day I lost balance and fell off it. I had fallen onto some sharp rocks and injured myself. There were people passing by who would merely stare at me, and then keep walking. Thoughts of worthlessness entered into my mind, and as I chose to believe the lies, my wounds grew worse. I was so overcome with grief that I nearly gave up... but then a man walked up to me and stopped. Without saying a word, he started to wrap my wounds, he gave me some water, and then lifted me up and embraced me. He then whispered these words into my ear, "I love you my child." As he said those words I could feel all the worthlessness and despair fall away. He then held out his hands. They had huge holes in them. He then said, "Walk with me." I then took his hand and we walked together. Every now and then I would fall from the road, but no matter where I fell, he was always there to pick me up and tell me that He loved me.

I use a razor, last time I used electric I had killer razor burn for weeks. I use the Mach 3 Turbo (the green one that vibrates), if you change the razor every week you get really good results. I shave every other day because it does grow fast enough to be noticible until day 2.

I use an electric razor. Not as close as a blade (regardless of what the commercials tell you), but it's good enough.

I generally only shave on days were I'm going somewhere - to work or to church, so that means everyday but Saturday. If I'm going out to someplace nice at night, I'll shave again because my facial hair is very dark and shows up rather easily. I generally have 5:00 shadow by 3:00.

I hate shaving.
Its unneccesary stress early in the morning.
Aftershave irritates with or without cuts.

Shaving = Stress x Irritation

If this is true then

beard = more time in the morning x less stress.

Yes, I have a beard.

I use an electric razor, and I shave every day.

I like the electric, because it's quicker and less messy than using a blade and cream. The electrics give a noticeably rougher shave than blades, but that doesn't matter too much as long as you shave every day.

I shave every day that I will be seen by other people, so that means that I generally only go without shaving over school breaks when I am home alone all day.

Exactly my reasoning. I'm able to get out of the house quicker in the morning. If I could just lose the rest of my hair and get dentures that would really free me up.

When I use to shave daily it was with an electric.

Now that I do have a beard I use a disposable razor. I trim my beard twice a week with it (Usually Saturday night and Wednesday morning so that I look fit for church services) and I use an electric beard trimmer once a week to keep it from looking overgrown.

Funny, I had a dream just last night that I looked in a mirror and my mustache and beard were gone.

I use a Mach 3 every now and then...I dont really like to shave because by the end of the day you cant even tell I shaved to begin with, but if I am doing a show at a nice club or am going out where a lot of people I know will be or I guess if I ever went on a date (yet to happen), I tend to clean up a bit. I keep the soul patch though...always gotta keep the soul patch.
