I was already hooked... but the endings just made my jaw hang open in disbelief! Big O actually made me yell "NOOOOO!" out loud at the television! heehee! (Still love the show, but hate the ending.)

Loved that show, but then it got the ending... I watched on Real Player I thought something was wierd when there only about two minutes left on the counter, then I'm thinking "Ok, how are they going to get a good climatic ending in only 2 minutes?"

1. I'm sure everyone's had this happen at times. I myself am not partial to either dub or sub, I just watch whichever I think is the better for each show I get into. Thus I hate when the VAs, dub or japanese, don't embody their characters at all!!! Main example being Crest of the Stars, I sat there listening to the dub (but always have subs on regardless), and thought, "Gee I think I should be feeling alot more right now considering what's going on, but it's almost as though the characters aren't getting what's happening!
2. There's been alot of mention of not liking it when good characters die. On a broader scope, I hate when the innocent die, being male, female, young, old, etc.
3. I don't like when an excellent show is squished into only 13 episodes when it could have very easily gone for the full 26; and vice versa, it's somewhat annoying when you spend money on a 26 episode show that could've been compacted in 13 episodes and been just as powerful.

1.When an anime feels the need to spend over 10 episodes trying to kill the same bad guy -- I'm looking at you, DBZ.
2. When animes transcend the line from Fan Service to Bad Taste. I don't mind Fan Service, but when you are talking about the kind of thing that happens in the 2nd episode of Puni Puni Poemy, it's going too far.

Okay, I have another one. Don't you just hate when there are two people in an anime(guy and girl) and the guy rescues the girl. And he helps her out and stuff, and they just seem perfect for each other, and you spend the whole series just waiting for them to fall in love, but then they never do? And to make matters worse the girl goes off to some farawya place at the end, and the guy ends up with some unlikeable girl. Ughhh... this drives me to no end! *Macross 2* *cough, cough*
Oh well, still an awesome anime movie.

I can think of one personal one (no it's not dirty ), and aside of that all I can think of is stuff that goes against my religion or my limits, like too much fanservice, or over the top violence, or too much false religion. The worst though is when things insult God or Christianity. I have little to no tolerance for that.

Or, as much as I love Ren, how the heck does one survive a puncture right through the chest!?

Or even in Bleach (*loves*) Ichigo cheats death a number of times...like his battle with Ken-chan...well, he survived b/c his Slayer gave him strength and stopped the bleeding...but still, it's like no one can die in that show (except for Hallows)...oh, and Aizen. (Which doesn't really make sense--Aizen died in Soul Society, right? Where does someone go if they die in Soul Society!?)

Since my views on yaoi and yuri are so radically different, I REFUSE to comment on that. Back on topic, I HATE anime where the plot revolves around fanservice, especially of underage girls! It's so demeaning to women!

There is - however, I think the fact that the voice actors are chosen by the directors/creators of the original anime cuts down on this substantially. I've heard bad acting in subs and I'veheard bad acting in dubs, but I don't think the dub companies always know the intentions of the original creators.

Ughhh... same here. I especially hate how there is an anime where they don't take God's name in vain in the original sub, but the stupid distributor always adds it in like, a million times. Ugghhhh.... ADV is horrible about this. If it weren't for the fact that they had Robotech and Nadesico, I'd probably hate their guts.

Yep, same here. It's bad enough when the mature characters wear suggestive clothing and are put in fanservicey situations, but when it's a little 10-year old girl, that's just plain creepy.

Unexsplained things that just pop up in the middle of a sieres (Vegeta and Bulma's relationship in DBZ, for example.)

~ bad dubs [lack of vocal variation, no emotion, dramatic alteration of the character due to its voice, 2 people for all the female roles etc.]
~ bad subtitles i.e. no caption for 3 minutes then a couple sentences in a second!
~ addition of swear words in English when there aren't any in Japanese
~ super-explaining concepts in English as if we'd never understand/changing storyline
~ anime released under Disney's name just to get released in the US* even though Disney didn't do any animating... [Miyazaki films]
~ a looong series that ends horribly [Evangelion] (with relativism etc.)
~ random and unnecessary nasty scenes
~ bishii guys (really I don't find guys in skirts that look like women attractive)
~ inability to get current animes without fear of bootlegs Xo
~ waaaay expensive anime merchandise in mainstream stores

Now i think about it Ikkitousen is the only anime that i watch that has more than an average level of fanservice.

- overly rabid fans. I know I'm a bit Sakura Kinoshita obsessive, but I swear I'll never try to eat someone alive for not hailing Tactics as the best anime in existance.

- story lines that try to make abuse look "cool" or "funny". I realize in some series torture/etc. can be used as a meaningful plot device (Now and Then, Here and There for example), but I've noticed too many series where abuse is played on for "laughs". It's absolutely disgusting.

- altering the speech of a character in an inconcievable manner. While it's not anime, the first volume of the Get Backers manga had Ginji and Ban talking like gangsta dawgs. I also shudder to think about what might happen to any character who speaks Osaka-ben in the Japanese.

- inconsistency in translations/dubs. Speaking of Osaka, I'm annoyed that her accent isn't consistent between the Azumanga Daioh manga and anime. I also beg that in dubs you pronounce characters names consistently so that I can maintain my sanity.
