Yuss! Or risk a "mysterious" server crash.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

I thought that was a relatively fair and accurate write-up on CAA. I was surprised to see the Goth and JRock threads mentioned as well. I'm really curious to know who wrote it. ^^

Encyclopedia Britannica! mwahahahaha!

That's pretty cool. But, hey, wait a minute... why aren't the Prayer Guardians mentioned? Hmmm... Oh, well, I guess we can't list EVERYTHING in an encyclopedia entry, can we? ;)

Sweet! But why is "Neon Genesis Evangelion" a not mention title? Seriously, I don't know. I'm just curious as to what is wrong with this title, seeing as I haven't seen it. :)

Thanks,

Oh, I haven't either. Apparently it's just a title that sparks a ton of arguing and conflict, so it's on the "no-no" list.

So BSJ didn't write the article, eh? I guess we have another South African - one who connects through "Internet Solutions", according to AfriNIC. (on the "history" page of a wikipedia article you can view who submitted and/or modified an article.)

Cool! :)

I guess if we really want to find out who we can nail down all the bits of knowledge that the submitter knows, then look for members who know all these things.

But what if the article was written by more than one person?

However .. I think Kaligraphic's note definitely narrows down the list for us. I'm looking forward to all the "sherlock holmes" here find out who the submitter is. LOL.

Wow, cool.

Many Fundemental Christian organizations have condemned anime for advocating immorality

Funny, since so many anime seem to preach very good themes and morals...

Yet many don't, or the fanservice, violence, etc distracts from it.

Honestly, even if an anime has a great moral by the end of the series or in certain episodes, if it's weighed down with graphic violence and portrayals and allusions of sex... I don't think it's worth it.

I'm not saying that's what it all is.

But not everyone knows what anime is *clean* and promotes good themes. If one is careful and has good resources to determine titles that would be appropriate, then there will sometimes seem to be more good anime than to someone who just relies on renting/buying/borrowing anime and hoping for the best.

Anime Unleashed had some anime (like Silent Mobius) that had some objectionable stuff. Cartoon Network's anime still includes posession, magic, violence, and mild sexual references occasionally.

If that's all that someone ever personally sees, they may just avoid the entire genre, especially if they find those things truly evil.

All of the bits of action movies that I've seen were very violent and had what basically qualifies as live action fanservice. >_>

...And I avoid action movies 'cause I haven't ever seen anything to prove they're not mostly like that. And not seeing more, I cut myself from opportunities to see if there's something I'd agree with, something that promotes good themes.

If I cared about watching live-action movies (I don't really care), I'd take the time to research some titles and find something better.
