Naruto dub Cast

According to Anime News Network, these are the current dub voices:

Yuri Lowenthal as Sasuke

Stephanie Sheh as Hinata Hyuuga

Steven Blum as Kakashi Hatake

Colleen O'Shaughnessey as Ino Yamanaka

Steve Kramer as Hokage

That's all that has been listen thus far.

Hmm, why am I not surprised? Don't get me wrong, I love Steve Blum, he's an excellent voice actor, but he just seems so over-used right now. Everytime I hear his voice, I can't help but think of Spike! I hope he plays his voice down a little and tries to sound more like the Japanese Kakashi.

After hearing Naruto's Japanese voice, I have a hard time hearing him with Haru's voice... Well likely his Jap. actor was female. We'll wait and see.

In my personal opinion, I think that Steve Cannon would have been a better choice for Sasuke. o_o;

I hope Yuri Lowenthal does a good job on him. I've heard him do so many different voices. If he sounds like Yuri from Kyo Kara Maoh it wont sound right. And if he sounds like Ki from DearS then it will REALLY not sound right. -_- I can only wait and hope. o_o+

Maybe they're trying to keep naruto's voice actor a secret till the big showing September 10th. e_e+

Ah. >_< Cartoon Network. Evil. Steve Cannon should have done Sasuke. e_e He did Kamui from x/1999 and he had the whole > Angsty, dark , < voice down pat. x_x; I hope that Johnney Bosch doesn't do Naruto x_o He did Kiba and Vash. He -could- pull it off if he was a little higher- pitched.

After seeing what he did with Klaus Volca in Last Exile and then make it bit more...hyper...I can defeintly see him doing Naruto. maybe I'm just a fan boy of his -_-;;

It's kinda wierd. I imagine voices when I read manga and I expect to hear this certain kind, which usually doesn't end up being that way.

Well, I still hear Yusuke's voice whenever I read Luffy's dialogue. Dunno why. It fits, though, even if it's a bit deep. : O

I have to say my two favorite 4kids VAs are Veronica Taylor(Ash on Pokemon)
and Amy Birnbaum(Tea on Yugioh).The also I enjoy whoever does Nami on
One Piece.
I can't wait to see what will happen to Toonami's line up once they get Naruto
started.

Johnny Bosch is undoubtedly awesome, but I don't know about Naruto... Actually, I don't know of any voice actors that I would like to hear voice Naruto. *sigh* Oh well. Maybe Johnny's not such a bad choice.

Better to have a better then decent VA then a horribly crappy VA in my humble opinion.

True. It's just not common to hear someone with that type of voice speaking in English, so it's hard to imagine someone who could immitate it. What would you think of Joshua Seth voicing Naruto?

Edit: Whoops, I didn't realize that Jonny Bosch actually is voicing him. Nevermind then. I'm sure he'll do a good job. Now if only Eyeshine would put out a CD...

WHAT!!! BRING BACK STEVEN JAY BLUM!!!!!! I am sorry but Dave Wittenberg and Kakshi...doesn't work. His voice work compromises of Micheal Lee from Witch Hunter Robin and Sora on .hack// Sign, and Mullin Shetland fron Last Exile. Those voices are way to high for Kakashi UNLESS he decides to go with the voice he used for Saitou in Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex - the cyborg sniper....then it would work.

Tazuna...is that the bridge worker? Why such a small (but important) role for such a excellent voice actor who has done roles such as Seta Noriyasu in Love Hina, Jin in Samurai Champloo, and one of my favorite roles that he was in, Saitou Hajime in Rurouni Kenshin? siiiighhh

Yeah there's my Steve-o! But as Zabuza....eh could work. Personally I would of rather seen Crispin Freemen or Lex Lang voice that character. But Steve can pull anything off.

Well, I was expecting Steve Blum to do Zabuza. When you think about it, the voice fits perfectly.


The guy who did Kakashi also did Parco Folgore in Zatch Bell! and I find that funny.
