~Why does he want a Japanese Hair Cut?~

Postby ~Natsumi Lam~ » Wed Aug 10, 2005 12:46 pm

What do you girls think when your BF begans to always want his hair to look like a Jpop star or an anime character?

For guys: what do you think when your girl friend tries to add anime bangs and/or animeish hair styles?

xD Well...I was basically going to say the same thing as ShiHi. My old boyfriend had kinda long messy-ish hair before, but then he got it cut sorta like Hyde's. >.> I was happy.

Yea... my husbands azn and i like his hair spikey but he insists that he wants it long like Onizukas from GTO the J drama live action movie. I think he looks better with short spikey hair.... but he is really into the Japanese culture right now.

My boyfriend is never going to have a JRocker's haircut if he's going to retain his position as senior in auditing. It would be interesting to see his clients' reactions though.

This is a little off the tangent but I personally would love to get a few blond highlights against my black hair (like Rinoa of Final Fantasy 8) but I'm not too sure how well that'll be received at my current workplace. XD

I don't have a gf right now, but if I did I suppose it would be her choice how she did her hair. (though I might give her a couple of odd looks if she suddenly sported an Edo period samurai topknot...)

If you're talking about just average Japanese hair cuts, I think they're really cute. It takes a certain kind of hair to pull it off, though, as Asians usually have really slick fine hair... I got mine done in a sort of Asian style and it worked pretty well since my hair is thin and straight. Anime hair on people? That could be a little weird... although I see plenty of crazy hair styles in school so I really couldn't distinguish an anime one from any of the others.

That would be cute! I once got blond highlights (and my hair is very dark brown) and its definitely a fun look. But I couldn't afford to keep getting it re-done after my roots grew out, so I ended up dying it back to my original color XD. I think red-brown highlights on black would look cute too, and maybe not as shocking.

I don't know about all that. But when I wanted to get my hair cut, I found a picture in those ever-present hair-style books in the beauty parlor of a hair-over-the-eye Japanese haircut (for females).

Mine doesn't look like that, but it just illustrated the style I wanted, of a side bang.

Japanese styles like those j-pop people, or just normal hair cuts?

I don't really go for that really crazy styles, regardless of american or japanese style. Perhaps you may think growing your hair out a foot long, spiking it then dying it random colors is just the coolest, but it's pointless. ANd sometimes looks... well... enough said. (just my opinion :P )

anime style hair...err.. it really depends. Realistically most of us don't really have the kind of hair to do such styles. But if she really wants to change her hair however she feels, let her. But in exchange, she just accept any/all dumb hairstyles I try. If I ever do any...

If I had a girlfriend (this would of course require myself and my parents to believe in the whole bf/gf thing and for me to be able to acquire a g/f), and if she tried to do anime hair . . .

I would help her with it. I like hair.

Oh, it would rock if a guy I dated got an anime haircut. . . but I would like it best if it were a more normal one like Kyo Sohma's ( I love Kyo :D)

I have a haircut that's sort of like the more "normal" girl haircuts in anime. It's really short and it has lots of layers, it's parted on the side, and I have bangs on the left side above the eye. On the way home from the Dominican Republic I was freezing in the plain, so I borrowed my friends jacket (it was blue with white striped down each arm), and I was wearing faded capris with little ballet slippers because we weren't allowed to wear flipflops in the airport (long story), and one of my friends who is into anime was like, "Wow, you look like you just stepped out of the pages of a manga," and I looked down at myself and was like, "Ha ha, yeah I do!" Lol, it was funny. . .

But on the main point, I fully support anime haircuts.
