CAA's Amazing Race - FINALE!!!

Postby Godly Paladin » Mon Aug 08, 2005 4:18 pm

We've arrived at the uber-cool finale of CAA's Amazing Race! Many racers started this journey, but only two remain:

Kaemmerite
&
Alice

Now they must engage in the mightiest race of all for the title of Season Three Champion and a banner designed by Sam*ron and Angent of Wrath! Big cheers for everyone involved in this race!

And now, the rules for the FINALE! (Kudos must go to Termyt, who was the original designer of this format. :jump: )

^^^^^^^^^^^^^

1) I will post a country, and that will be the country for the final round. Simple, no? :brow:
2) At that point, either one of the racers can post a fact, same as always.
3) This is where it deviates from the rest of the race: after the first racer (A)has checked in with a fact, the other racer (B) has 24 hours to check in with a fact. Once B checks in, A has 12 hours. After that, B has only 6 hours to respond with a fact. This continues, with the time limit halving after each fact, until either racer surrenders or cannot submit a fact within the time limit.
4) If you post a fact that is incorrect or has been used already, you can still try again as long as you still have time.
5) You don't have to find a new website for the info. If A used CIA.gov, B can as well. You just have to have different facts.

To reiterate, the timetable goes like this:

24 hrs
12 hrs
6 hrs
3 hrs
1 hrs
30 min
15 min
10 min
5 min
3 min
1 min
60 secs
30 secs

...etcetera.

Any questions? We won't start until everyone is ready.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

EDIT: And the final country is... BELARUS!!!

(Who loves those obscure little countries everbody forgets? Can we have a show of hands? :jump: )

Okay, racers, if you're ready. I'll EDIT the country into the main post on this thread. (Remember that if you don't want to stay up all night you have 24 hours to make your move.)

And, to quote Fukui-san of the immortal Iron Chef: "Let's get it o-o-ooon!"

After seven decades as a constituent republic of the USSR, Belarus attained its independence in 1991. It has retained closer political and economic ties to Russia than any of the other former Soviet republics.

Okay here we are at the finale! This will be a tough contest to see who will win. Who's excited to see who will be the champion racer? *everyone says me in hte huge crowd of spectators* Okay, the race is on! :) And what do you know? This is my last post before i reach the infamous post count of 666.
Absence is to love as wind is to a flame. It extinguishes the little, it ignites the great.

Life is a test. It is only a test. Had this been real life you would have have been instructed where to go and what to do.

When i argue with reality I lose.....But only 100% of the time.

Once you've decided on a course of action, only you can finish it. As long as you remember that, there's nothing you can't accomplish.

Kaemmerite has a mere 2 hours to respond. If he doesn't check in by 11:27 PM (on my own personal CAA time zone setting), then it's over.

If my math is correct, Alice missed her time limit by one whole minute just now, making me the victor, but I'll wait for GP to verify. :P

One whole minute. Oh I'm SO bad. Yeah, let's let the judges call it. XP

But if you won, congrats and stuff. And if you didn't... BOOYAH!

12:54 - 12:56, it was a two minute delay on a 60 second timetable. So after a spectacular fight equal to the battle of the titans that was the first finale, we have a victor.

Kaemmerite!

Kaemmerite, I'll contact you later with your victory banner. :thumb:

Alice, that was great! All the way to second place on your first attempt! Victory next time, eh?

Thanks to everyone who signed up! What would happen if GP gave an Amazing Race and nobody came, I wonder?

Special thanks to Sam*ron, Agent_of_Wrath, and Kinkosami for the victory banner!
Major thanks to Termyt for the Finale format!

And now there's nothing more to say than goodbye...and to watch out for an *all new CAA game* from the maker of CAA's Amazing Race! (Shameless self-plugging.)
