I don't think the list will show users with less than 25 posts. Since you now have 26, that could have been why you didn't see yourself before.

Largely because they are not terribly important. When people ask, people are told.

This is most likely in place so that the user list is not awash with members who barely posted, or posted for a few days and then left.

I believe he stated that in the thread referring to his name change. My answer will not be as complete as his, but what I remember him saying there was that it was a bit ironic to have the screen name "oldphilosopher" when our board forbids philosophical discussion.

The official reason the 25 post count is required is to keep people who sign up with nasty names from poluting the member list. It's also to encourage people to not "just lurk."
