I am being unsocial

…No not really! I am just dropping off the face of the earth for a reason. I’m trying to meet a dead line: (300 page book written by August 31!) So I won’t be on the CAA all that much. Please pray for me because this is quite an undertaking. I have devoted this book to the Lord and He has really helped me write a lot of it so far. Praise God! But there is still much more that needs to be done. Please pray for me in this endeavor and any encouragement would be appreciated!

I say you're crazy to attempt it - bu there's nothing like a challenge to bring out the best in men. ;) I hope you enjoy writing it. :)

In addition:

Off course there's nothing wrong with writing a novel in a few months. Victor Hugo wrote Notre dame de Paris, a 200 000 words novel, in two months so its possible to do it.

Just don't burn yourself out! Don't overdo it.

I'll try not to burn myself out! I’m making great progress right now: (10-20 pages a day!) I figure as long as I have the time to do it, am enjoying doing it, and everything is going well, then why slow down now. Its just so exciting to see my first book take form! But it does take a great deal of discipline to do this though, but I think it’s worth it.

I'm not a proponent of rushing the creative process; but if you want to attempt this, then I hope that you are successful (perhaps your revising and editing doesn't have to be included in that deadline ;) ).

I can write a lot in a short time if I know exactly what I want to say, but otherwise it takes some time.

Sweet! What's the deadline for?

I think writing fast is a good thing, if you can do it, because you remember what you want to do. Also you can always go back and revise it later. Well, it can burn one out, but I've had some great results from fast writing. Just don't push yourself *too* hard and you'll do fine! :thumb:

writing huh? THat's pretty cool. Well I hope and pray good things happen and that you'll meet the deadline. So what's the book about? Anyways, good luck my friend and let the creative process flow. Hope to see you around soon.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers. I have had great success this week: (100 pages in seven days!) So I am happy, but there is much more that needs to be done. I am currently looking for a publisher right now but have not found one as of yet, , so please pray for that as well.

To those who were asking, the book is a Mystery with Sci-fi & Fantasy elements (i.e. Steam Punk). It is the tale of a young girl who discovers a way to save her world from a terrible evil.

& The deadline is because I only have so much time before my college semester starts and the working season starts getting hectic. So I am trying to get the rough draft finished by the end of the month while I have free time to write.

Thanks again! :thumb:
