Are you a Puzzle person?

Postby Syaoran » Tue Jul 19, 2005 3:22 pm

Hello.....Have you head about the Rubic cube....If so you know what I am talking about......The pain and frustation that drives you insane just from thinking about it....You may wonder why did I bring this up...well I want to know if I am not the only one who can solve this cube of doom. I may be the only one in my family that can sovle it by not cheeting...I solve it by doing it the proper way. So if you are one of those lucky ones that can solve the cube that is awsome....if not tell your story about how you got your revenge on the cube of Doom.

Oh if you are a puzzle person just say so.......It can be from crose words all the way to wooden puzzles. and any thing eals that I may miss or have never hurd of.

I had a Rubics Cube once... I twisted it too many times to "mess the puzzle up and make it harder." Then I could never get it back, (nor could anyone else in my family), and eventually it broke. Good riddance.

I have never tried the 'cube', but I love logical puzzles like Sudoku. With sudoku, you have 9 larger squares each with 9 smaller squares inside them. Within each large square is the numbers 1-9. 1-9 also run down each column and along each row. No number is allowed to repeat in any column, row or square.

Sure.
Step 1 - since the number 1 in already in this column, no other '1' can be.
step 2 - since the number '1' is already in this row, it can't be in it again
step 3 - same as above
therefore, the only box in the lower right hand corner that can be a '1' is the one highlighted. Does that make sense?

Edit: btw, please excuse my atrocious paint-job XD

"The only thing I am good at is... PUZZLES!! No wait, I lied..."

I usually don't like doing puzzles unless I am somehow 'forced' doing them. Though I will admit to having gotten one side of a rubix cube matched up. It's really using too much of the brain!
