I love puppies. Certain beeds I like more than others though.

I've never had a puppy or dog of my own before, but I plan to get one when I get my own place after college.

Cats are nice too, don't get me wrong I love kittens, but I prefer puppies.

I think cats can be loyal pets too. I've had mine for 15 years. When ever I'm sad, lonely or sick shes been there with me. I've heard stories of cats saving their owners or protecting them. There was a woman who had just had a baby and she got sick and the ambulance came to take her away. Whne they tried to take the baby the cat attacked. The cat didn't want strangers taking the baby. And then there was this old women whose cat lead her to a gas leak. I watched some show on amazing pets and saw this stuff. I really love cats.

I have a cat and a dog and I love 'em both for different reasons.

I love the way that my cat purrs whenever I give him a head rub, and the way that he curls up in laundry baskets and sun beams, and the fact that he can be a goofy insane lunatic at times, and I do appreciate that he's more independent and less clingy.

But I also love my dog because she's so sweet tempered and loyal, and I love the way that she gets hysterically excited and giddy over the smallest thing (like a car ride) and the fact that she's a slightly more dependable companion than my cat (she doesn't sit next to me, she sits on me)

I'm a dog person, but my neighbor across the street has like 4 cats,in the time I have known her she has had 1 dog and 8 or 9 different cats, but some have died, including my favorite so I like cats too. I have had two dogs, one my parents had before I was born, he died last year at the age of 15, my other one is a 3 year old beagle naed Molly who is either sleeping, begging for food, or going insane.(mostly sleeping, except when it's time to go to bed, then she's hyper.)

Now what im also wondering is what your take on declawing is, i think its reasonable for the front claws, but ONLY for a mainly indoor cat.

Oh yeah, the other thing i loved doing with my cat (which my parents had to give away... T_T SIMON!!! NO!!!) was burying my face in his fur and smelling how clean he was...

Well Comet was a very naughty kitty when she was a youngin. She ripped my moms couch up. So my mom had her front claws taken out. Leaving the back claws in is important so they can defend themselves if they get out of the house some how. Comet is an indoor cat. I was in 8th grade when my mom had her declawed. My sisters cat should have been declawed too, that cat left deep claw marks on my book shelf.

I love to do that too!! My cat smells really good. heh. I think she gets some of my perfume on her when i spray it. Not entirely sure. She usually smells like perfume though. I know for a while she was getting some of my moms on her because she would visit my mom while she got ready for work and my mom would put her perfume on and comet would get some of the stray mist.

Still there are some cats with major attitudes from all the ones I've seen, but for the most part they're ok. And the two cats who live there, Hank and Simon, are two of the coolest cats ever.

But ultimately I'm still a dog person. I've had a golden retriever, Barkley, who died three years ago. He was a good dog, hyper for the first 7 years but that's a golden for ya. I've had Frank my pug for the last three years. I just love my dog... He's so funny! He's got such expressive eyes and all, which makes him look so sad when he wants something. He's got the whiniest whine you could ever imagine. It's cute, but it can get annoying sometimes. Here's a new pic of him.

Thanks. I had always wanted a pug since I saw that movie when I was like 4 or 5. But Otis was a fawn(tanish) colored pug.

I think I'm more of a dog person... a good dog is always excited to see you, but the best cats I've known just want food or to be held when you're in the middle of something! Plus a cat goes outside and doesnt come back

if you asked me 3 years ago i would say cat but now i'm saying dogs mostly because their related to the wolf but after walking around town so much and meeting so many other dogs im starting to like dogs as much as i like wolves. i have nothing against cats but they just dont listen to well

well anyways im a dog person. i love dogs especially big dogs. i used to have a dog awhile back and then another one a month ago but he was a stray and we ended up finding his owners. i love cats too but in a different way. i dont really think of cats as pets. theyre on their own agenda and they dont really need you. i like the way dogs become so attached to you.

Cats that go outside do come back. Unless they get killed by being eaten or run over or something. I've know people with outdoor cats. Its very dangerous for cats out there. That wh my cat stays in. She once got hit by a car. Drug herself home. We rushed her to the vet. Luckily she only had a broken jaw.

Both. I have a dog, but I get along with cats pretty well. I can see myself owning either in the future. My cat would be an indoor cat though. A cute little playful one. ^_^
