If you have something similar to share, you're probably better to start your own thread, or just PM someone. I mean if you don't want to be ignored. Sometimes I've read through threads (generally old ones) and I'm amazed that no one noticed the other stuff below the first post.
I think they just read what the person said and assume the rest is encouragement and add their own to it.
