I love the Kurosawa movie Yojimbo with Toshiro Mifune. The name means "bodyguard" and plus it just sounds cool. Of course I've gotten a million Yo! Jimbo!'s but I don't mind.;) But I didn't start using the name till I played FFX back in 01, that sealed the deal because the Yojimbo in that game was awesome.

My user name theme song... :grin:

Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
with the cross of Jesus going on before.
Christ, the royal Master, leads against the foe;
forward into battle see his banners go!

Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
with the cross of Jesus going on before.

At the sign of triumph Satan's host doth flee;
on then, Christian soldiers, on to victory!
Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.

Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
with the cross of Jesus going on before.

Like a mighty army moves the church of God;
brothers, we are treading where the saints have trod.
We are not divided, all one body we,
one in hope and doctrine, one in charity.

Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
with the cross of Jesus going on before.

Crowns and thrones may perish, kingdoms rise and wane,
but the church of Jesus constant will remain.
Gates of hell can never gainst that church prevail;
we have Christ's own promise, and that cannot fail.

Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
with the cross of Jesus going on before.

Onward then, ye people, join our happy throng,
blend with ours your voices in the triumph song.
Glory, laud, and honor unto Christ the King,
this through countless ages men and angels sing.

Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
with the cross of Jesus going on before.
Live your life, love the Lord, and don't forget to laugh...

My favorite animal is bats (which makes things a bit ironic with HS5000 posting that), and the genus of bat is "Myotis" (I originally discovered this thanks to a certain "Myotismon" of original Digimon).

So, I chopped of the "s" and made "Myoti".

Also, it's the name of my Furry character (who is a bat, of course).

Unfortunately, I think "Myoti" is also a Japanese name that has something to do with some sort of demon, but my name is in no way derived from that, just so you know. :/

My screen name... *looks at his* Kind of odd I say...

There are two reasons for my name:
1) all the letters are on the same row of keys so I can type it in less then a second with my right hand.

2) There's actually a meaning behind it, but that I can't divulge that information to just anyone. Sorry. My twin brother is the only one who knows. All I'm willing to say is that it's an acronym. With such an odd name, it's just best to keep people guessing. :P

Well, firstly, I picked my name because I'm a goofball and I like the Simpsons. It's based off of a Simpsons quote howled by a delusional Lisa Simpson ("I..am...THE LIZARD QUEEN!!" :lol: )

Other than that, some of my favorite, oldest, self-created characters are reptilian.

Even though they're lizards, I've had Lyzomon and all her forms kicking around my mind for six years now and I'm overly fond of them. Has me wondering if I should seperate them from the digimon fandom so it won't seem so strange..

Impact Alberto was the name of my favourite character from Giant Robo.
Lord Alberto the Impact, though I just wrote it as "IA" because it was more direct.

It really doesn't mean much of anything to me.

Hee I was expecting that sort of question from you, C Ronin.

Uriel: The Archangel. Fire Of God. An angel of retribution but also poetry and prophecy, some say, who warned Noah about the oncoming flood and was tricked into giving Satan directions to the garden of Eden.

Uriel could provide flashes of insight, help in crises, movement to action and inspiration. His day is thought to be Saturday and one source describes him as having electric blue eyes, a crown of quartz, a fire of brightness and a rainbow halo.

Ahh, he/she sounds very beautiful. Maybe the above isn't true, but it sure is pretty.
Peace be with you...look not on our sins but on the faith of Your church.

I used to live in this peaceful world as Jamie, but then this group of people came and told me that I was actually hooked into this fake world inside my head called The Matrix and that I was being used for robot power. So, they unhooked me, started calling me Kkun, and I saved the world in one really good movie and two sequels that should have never been made.

...wait, that was far-fetched. Let me try this again.

I was called "aku_soku_zan" after Hajime Saitou but then I died fighting the great Balrog so that my friends could escape and came back to life as Kkun, the White Wizard.

...wait, still far-fetched.

Okay, here's the truth this time. I WAS called aku_soku_zan but then some friends started calling me K-kun after my AOL screen name that starts with K. I liked it and about two months ago, I decided to change my name to Kkun and rock out.

My username? Actually, it's pretty simple. Dragons are my favorite fantasy creature. I collect them and I have TONS of them floating around my apartment, in pictures, waterglobes, statues, crystal figurines, clothes, shoes, bags, tea cups, glasses...anything xD I also like things that sparkle and glitter...they're pretty and they catch my eye. So, I thought "Sparkling shimmering dragon", two of the things I like to look at....dragonshimmer. Dragon sparkles/shimmers. n_n

I see I'm not the only Banner of the Stars fan here! Love the avatar! Anyhoo, I named myself after the B-52s' first hit, "Rock Lobster". The B-52s are my favorite rock band because so far, no one has ever been able to copy their style or even tried.

I haven't seen all of Banner of the Stars yet, but I liked what I saw of Crest of the Stars. I mainly picked Lafiel, because I liked her and she looks a lot like an elf, although her hairs more purple than blue but you can't win 'em all. :)

I dunno why I picked my username... This is the first board I ever joined, so I didn't really have a certain name that I used, so I guess I just picked one up. I'm glad I chose ZiP though, it's a fun name.

I used to run around as Riana (which, I happened to make up but I liked it so much I wrote some fanfics with it), but it actually became quite a stumbling block to me. It didn't feel "real", and so I let myself get into things and write things that I shouldn't have; because I knew "no one will ever know it's me", I had no sense of guilt over anything.

So, I decided to stick with my real name: Ashley. It's very popular, so anyone trying to figure out who or where I am specifically is gonna have a fun time. It's spawned a lot of cute nicknames, like Ash, AshAsh, Ash-chan, etc. But, who knows...I may eventually change it now that I'm a little more mature and can live behind a screenname. ^^;;

Postby Starfire1 » Wed Jul 27, 2005 12:15 pm

how starfire1 came into being:
1. starfire is one of my favorite characters...ever. shes like me in a lot of ways.
2. there was already a starfire here so, in a very creative moment, i stuck 1 on the end of it
if i wasn't rushing to come up with a screen name i might have ended up being chii or something around that.

DragonSleeping:

I collect dragons and have read and or studied about most of the lore that surrounds them. There is a trilogy that the beginning book is titled Dragon Sleeping. I really loved the book. Then later on I found out that there was 2 more books. :) Dragon Waking, andDragon Burning

The plot is very Twilight Zone-ish. But, I loved the end message of the books. It was really great.

But, also because I love dragons and am a sleepy head at times...alright...all of the time... I really think it fits well too. :lol:

I've always thought you had a cool username, dragonsleeping. It gives me the impression that there's a dormant dragonish side waiting for rear up within you, if that makes sense ^_^;;

Outta curiosity, what is the name of the author that wrote the books you mentioned?
