ok im thinking about getting out of CAA before i get to hooked in it. its nobodys fault but my own. the reason for my thinking this is because im spending 40-50% of the day on the comp and most of that time is me being on CAA. during this time i just read threads and their replys, i hardly ever reply my self. another reason is because my parents say im spending too much time on the comp and that i need to get outside more and they're right about that too. another is because i used to eat about 2 meals a day and that slowed down to about 1 meal, i make a fast meal when i eat and because of this im not getting near the right amount of neutrition.

so those are the reasons for my thinking of leaving CAA. I would like your opp on if i should or shouldnt leave if you have a sugg thats ok too

If CAA if harming your health by all means take a break. Too much a good thing can be bad >.>

Example: CAA!

I've taken breaks from CAA before, it does wonders for you, i promise.

Well, whatever you do, force yourself to start eating more. Maybe you could make a rule that you have to eat something before you can get on the computer (or take something with you to eat when you're there). I often eat in front of the computer, it's not that hard if you're not typing.

Actually, I've found it very useful to eat breakfast while idly browsing the news sites I frequent.

That said, if you think the computer is sucking your productivity away, I think it's very mature of you to consider taking a break so you can focus on things that need to be done, and reintroduce it later when you believe your priorities are better adjusted.

Yeah, taking a break once in a while is a good thing, especially if you find yourself getting addicted. Another thing you can do when you come back (and presumably you'll check this thread then), is to set a timer for yourself when you get on the computer. I know that I can spend hours on the computer and not even realize I've been on so long. So, get a timer and set it for an hour (or whatever), and when it goes off, you go off too. :)

you know....that's a really good idea :o I haven't thought about that before. I know that I can be on the computer for 2 or 3 hours before I realize it....
Anyways, that's a really good suggestion!

however the problem with that, is when your time is up, you will still feel compelled to stay on CAA, and soon you'll be on for like 4 hours instead of your usualy 1 hour

When I was younger, my mother used to make me set a timer for when I was online. I really didn't enjoy it at the time, but I'm sure it was the best thing for me. ^^;

I guess a part of life is learning how to manage time; whether being online, doing school work etc... Being inside all day staring at a screen all day kind of seems like a waste. It reminds me of Office Space in a way...

But yeah, it's okay to take a break or cut down online time. I mean, CAA will be here later that day and the next day. Anyways, good luck bud with the time management.

Yeah when I first joined I read just about every thread for awhile. That got old real fast and a big time waster. So for about 10 months now I've only been reading the forums that I'm actually interested. Sometimes instead of trying to type a long reply to a thread I'll read it, take a break to do whatever needs to be done. Then come back after I've though about it some and reply. It saves some time anyway.
