Nuts, and here I was going to post the obituary "first."

I don't know what his faith was. We can only presume God will beam him up.

My dad had met DeForest Kelley a few times (this was when Dad was working at a veterinary clinic in the Van Nuys area), and found him a very pleasant, approachable sort who always maintained that his success in Star Trek was just a result of being in the right place at the right time. It seems James Doohan was another one of those.

I was surprised that he lived in Redmond,which is outside of Seattle.I knew he
was from Vancouver,BC but I didn't realize until I read his obituary that he lived
in the Seattle area.
Can't say what his faith was.All I know is that Shatner and Nimoy are both Jewish
and Kelley was a Southern Baptist.

i love the old star trek show, one of my favorite old corny shows. and scotty was one of my favorite characters. the obit they had in the paper was very touching.

I happen to be channel surfing last night and the episode of STNG (On Spike TV) was on that Scotty appeared on where he was stuck in the transpoter for 75 years of the star ship he was captain of after it was damaged and the crew had no where to go.

They broke the mold when it came to chief engineers when they created
Scotty.The only one that came really close was O'Brien on DS9,IMHO. :thumb:
