Piece of advice for all you youngsters (24 and under)... If you're anything like me, sleep tends to be an "option", and your seem to be able to roll out your day with 5 or 6 hours, perhaps less, a night.
This will catch up with you. I used to be in bed at 2 am and up at 7 to get to work most days, with even less sleep on the weekends, mostly from hanging out with people, and playing RPGs and going to shows and such...
Now, here I am at work, it's almost 1:30 in the afternoon, I was late for work because I am so completely burnt from all the "real life" stuff you have to deal with. Those of you out of high school, and working, and going to school know what I'm talking about. Church stuff, work, relationships, friendships, people depending on you, and on top of it all, you'd really like to play that game that's been sitting in plastic for 6 months, or maybe go catch a movie with some friends, or stay up until the wee hours discussing everything from foreign policy to Biblical truth, to the effect of pop tarts on the bovine digestive tract or something...
So you try and squeeze those kinds of "fun" things in amidst the "responsibilities", and you get burnt.
Like I said, it's 1:30 in the afternoon, and I think my mind just woke up for real about an hour ago (with the help of two huge cups of coffee).
Zombie is no fun, for we loathe the undead.
Do yourselves a favor, people. Get your body used to a rational sleep schedule now, before you end up feeling pukey all the time like I do now.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get back to my half-conscious attempt at working, so I can pay bills tonight, before I run all over town with my gf so she can do errands, fit in some time to eat something, buy tickets for the Blindside show, clean my house, do dishes, do laundry, then fall asleep reading the Word at 3am before I wake up 4 hours later to do it all over again.
And I used to be a morning person....!
