anyways, I find from experiance that the vast majority of those who call themselves "True Goths" who I've met think that Christianity is based on a fairy-tale, at best. For this reason, I consider these goths to be following paganism, kinda in their own "denomination," I guess one could say.

Christian goths are children of God. Pure and simple. Your outward appearance does not matter. If you believe and have accepted God, you are his child no matter what. No Christian has the right to judge a fellow believer for the way they choose to look. God doesn't look at the outward appearance. He looks at the heart. It says so in his word. And God does not lie. And honestly, judging in this sense, is no different than blatant racism. Period.

No, the point was you were incorect in labling the term goth a religion. It would be no different then saying everyone who wears a suit and tie is a Christian. What you wear does not save or condemn you. If someone walks around depressed all the time, then yes...I would say perhaps being gothic is harming there spiritual walk...but as far as wearing Gothic fashion...its foolish to lable them as having a faith in it. Then again, having first hand knowledge on an issue helps.

Smoking is Bad for your health, but it's not specifically a sin. Does that mean all Smokers go to hell? No. Does that mean 100% of all Christians don't smoke? No. Is it beneficial or glorifying to God?

I know it's bad for your health, and can be a Stumbling Block to the Unsaved and set a bad example.

Does wearing Gothic clothing make you unsaved? No.

Can it be a stumbling block for others? Yes.

Read my initial Post - This goes beyond black lipstick or Hair. This is about how we purport ourselves which is not to be the same way as the unsaved world.

If Christian Divorce rates are high as Unsaved, if Smoking, drinking, swearing, clothing, tastes, philosophies, are all simmilar or alike, if there is no standard by which to measure things, then there is Nothing that makes us Stand Out...

Being a Christian means we might be persecuted, but we shouldn't look for it.

A Goth Barbie doll in the "Pink Isle" would certainly stand out, you'd expect that.

You could also get attention by yelling "FIRE" in a public Place (which is against the laww for insighting panic), You'd surely get attention, but not the kind you want.

All I'm saying is CONSIDER these things. Not for the sake of People, but the Sake of God.

Sometimes gothism is a way of appearance meant out of rebellion. But for others, including Christian goths, it's fashion.
