Hurricane Emily in Texas?

Postby Azier the Swordsman » Fri Jul 15, 2005 10:04 pm

It's still speculation, but experts are predicting it may strike here sometime around Sunday or Monday. I know there are many fellow Texans here on CAA... let's keep it in heavy prayer that it takes a major turn and doesn't harm anyone.

Well, at least that's good for me. I'll be in Pensacola on Monday through the week. Sorry, Texans. *sweatdrop* I'll pray for you!

As of now, it's predicted to not hit here. It's a relief for sure.

Even when hurricanes do hit Texas, we just get like the tail end of them because we're so far to the north. But I hope it doesn't hit Texas.

Well, I'm here in Houston...real close to the gulf. If it hits Brownsville, like it's projected to, I'll probably get some massive T-storms, but no real damage. I do, however, appreciate all the prayer for my fellow Texans and my family in Lousiana.

it's expected to hit about 30 miles south of Brownsville, putting it about 60 m away from my home. the only thing i don't like about this is all the work i had to do boarding up my home (my dad is very cautious).

It looks like my family is out of the danger (we live almost near Lousiana) but I am still acutely aware of others in Emily's path. God be with all of you.

Oh, it's not a LOT of rain. Just lots of random thunderstorms... which is good because it hasn't rained in a loong time
