I'm a female and I present the appearence of being very solemn or unhappy. Usually, I am quite happy to be there, I'm just not that expressive and I have to be serious because I will procrastinate if I do not. So, I decided on female avatars looking composed or otherwise showing low key emotions.

I guess my feeling was correct. Oops. Least im not alone though.
Anyway, i dont choose my avatar because the character is like me, but if i looked at each of the ones ive chosen and really thought about it id probably find something in myself that is simalar to the character ive chosen. I started out trying to find avatars that were something like me, but now i just choose characters i like.
I wonder if anyone knows who mine is now?

I changed my avatar recently to a fanart I saw of Rip Van Winkle. Because she is cool and easy to dress up as. and my alter ego. (oh, yes I ALWAYS walk around carrying an umbrella and a musket that can blow people to smithereens...and an alarm clock...sure.)

Mine is Abel Nightroad from Trinity Blood series. I can personally relate to him. He is kind, helpful, willing to protect people and had a trouble past.

The Straight and Narrow
I chose to walk the straight and narrow road, but one day I lost balance and fell off it. I had fallen onto some sharp rocks and injured myself. There were people passing by who would merely stare at me, and then keep walking. Thoughts of worthlessness entered into my mind, and as I chose to believe the lies, my wounds grew worse. I was so overcome with grief that I nearly gave up... but then a man walked up to me and stopped. Without saying a word, he started to wrap my wounds, he gave me some water, and then lifted me up and embraced me. He then whispered these words into my ear, "I love you my child." As he said those words I could feel all the worthlessness and despair fall away. He then held out his hands. They had huge holes in them. He then said, "Walk with me." I then took his hand and we walked together. Every now and then I would fall from the road, but no matter where I fell, he was always there to pick me up and tell me that He loved me.

My avatars have changed a bit. Usually there pic's of my favorite anime girls. I have used pics of Kaoru and Lacus Clyne and Yayoi Fujisawa. I also was hyped on Republic commando so I put a pic of a clone commando on. Right now I have a Imperium Space Marine from the Ultramarines. WarHammer 4000 Dawn of War is the bomb.

Er... Mine usually don't have any deep meaning... But I tend to pick avatars that are either of my favorite anime or game characters or, as is the case right now, original art that resembles me physically. Also, I choose avatars with facial expressions that match my mood at the time. My current one was chosen because of my excitement and happiness of summer and church camp.
