I'll be attending Otakon this year. ^_^ Pre-registered a few weeks ago. If I remember correctly, TwilightKissC3 is going too.

Sorry guys, but it looks like I'll have to skip out. There's an unexpected trip that I'll be taking during this time. Or rather, by the time I get back, half of Otakon will have already been finished.

Sounds great. Maybe it'll work out better than last year's attempt did. Emoanimechild and I tried to spearhead something like this but it flopped for lack of organization. However, I did meet Haibane Shadsie.

A sign would be a good idea. That's what Emo and I tried, but she had left it on the floor propped up against a column and no one was there at all. Ah well. Sounds like this year's shaping up to be better meeting-wise.
Also, as I've said before, keep your eyes peeled for ol' Bardy. I'll have a black acoustic guitar case strapped to my back and I'll likely be jamming as I walk around.

I am hoping that I have not come down with a problem that could keep me from attending Otakon. I have had pain in my right shoudler, arm and half of my right hand is numb for about 3 weeks. It kept me from work for 4 days until I could see my doctor who sent me to a orthopedic doctor and said to get x-rays.
The orthopedic doc said round my cervix bones of my neck I have bone spurs and where the nerves exit around the bones are closing which is causing the pain and numbness. I have to see a surgeon Monday to see if injections to my neck will stop this problem. If not its surgery.
If I do make it I may not cosplay in my uniform because of the medical backpack and fanny pack I wear with it plus the helmet that goes with it.
I maybe doing limited things.

alas i wish i could go but No all of the big con's have to be on the east cost but o welll there is one here in denver but don't remeber when it is but alas *sniff* ime a po anime fan with a shortage of funds. now the real kicker for me is as far as being without funds is that this week DJ irene is doing a set at a good club and i cant go and i was out of town for Global Dance Fest. well thats my ranting for today.

Kireihana and agentsmith 700. There is always a chance that a anime con will come your way. One way is to find a local anime club or college anime club willing to look into starting one. Anime cons always start small and end up becoming as big as Otakon, and some of the others. Neko Con (which I am a medic staffer) started small in a hotel in Virginia Beach and now will move this year to Hampton Roads Convention Center because it out grew two hotels.
One thing is that Otakon has grown so much that they may not allow at the door registration this time. They have had a large number of pre reg that by next week they will decide yes or no on at the door if pre reg continues and ends by 8-12-05. Otakon also started small in a hotel north of Baltimore and then moved to the Baltimore Convention Center where half was used by the con and then the whole convention center after that.

I forgot to say something about what the weather man here has been saying about Hurricane Irene. He has been saying that it could hit the East Coast somewhere between the Carolinas and Maryland Delaware coastline early part of the week. It depends on how much strengh it builds up before it gets here and what it will do. I pray it don't get here and mess up Otakon.
