Who do you think contributes to CAA the most?

Talk about anything in here.

Who do you think contributes to CAA the most?

Postby true_noir_chloe » Mon Jul 11, 2005 1:21 pm

um... yeah. Do you ever really contribute to anyone or anything? Do you ever get in those "Its a Wonderful Life" moments? How would the people around you, or since this is CAA, how would they feel if you were gone? I think a lot of people here think that.

Can you think of anyone who depends on you? Would you really be missed?

I am thankful that I'm not expendable to God. I mean, when all is said and done that is what's important, isn't it? So if you don't make the list, don't worry you are definitely on God's list. ;) That's a list I want to be on.:thumb:

Yes, you can tell we're doing a study on peace this week in our Bible study on CAA. ^^;; He gives us a peace that surpasses all understanding. Because He loves inspite of ourselves, whether we think we're something special or not. It is because of Christ's shed blood on the CROSS that we are not expendable to Him - we are worth it, worth precious blood.

I know there have been a lot of "who do you admire/like the most on CAA" threads, but this one is who do you think contributes the most to CAA?

I obviously think Ashley, without her we wouldn't have CAA - that's kind of an obvious one.

But, I think someone that I would have to name strongly is:
Mithrandir and EireWolf - they're like a super couple and hope for all those online hopefuls. Eire was the first person to talk to me and if it wasn't for her I probably wouldn't be here now, so my most contributing list starts off with Eirewolf.

Next:

Rev. Doc - his devotions make his presence worth it to me

How about you guys? Who do you think contributes the most to CAA?

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

Wow, really? :red:

You're awesome, Val. I would definitely pick you, too, and not just to return the favor. It is clear that you care about the young people on this board. You are very encouraging and protective of them (and me). :)

And of course, I get to see firsthand how much Mithrandir contributes to this site. He loves this place too. If the site is down for some reason, he won't go to bed until it's fixed, even if he's dog-tired.

There are many, many others whose absence would leave a huge hole in CAA. And if you're reading this, you're probably one of them. ;)

Hmmm. . . that's a hard one since I haven't been here that long. . .

Well, obviously the administrators contribute the most, but I think besides that the people I appreciate the most are the ones with a good sense of humor. I like this site because it's fun and I can come here and relax and usually get a good laugh out of something. So, Volt, don't kick yourself too hard, despite your negativity you still make me laugh sometimes. And allow me to use my telekinetic powers to kick your roommates butt. Oh wait, darn it, I don't have any. That would be really cool though. . .

Oh, come on, Volt. You're freakin' hillarious. Every time I see a barbie doll, I still laugh, thinking of the "Yaoi Ken" post. I remember back when you had yourself banned, I was SO BUMMED. I would really miss you if you were gone!

Next, here's my list:

Ryan (Mr. SP)
Koko-chan
Sunako
Chibi-chan (If only I could draw like you can! You're gonna be so famous one day, Chibs.)
Chloe! (My writing mentor.)
Ashley
Gypsy (I missed you. T_T)
Mave (She knows everything about manga. Oh, that I might follow in your foot steps, oh all-knowing one!)
Kaemerrite (He had taught me more about pop culture than I ever wanted to know. Just kidding. I love you, Kae.)
Inegmar (For your many sketches featuring CAA personalities.)

That's a lame list. I know I missed LOADS of important people, but those are the ones that came to mind.

Edit: Added Ingemar. How could I forget!
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. I hope we can keep the spam down - some are certainly known for it here -__-)\. I was kind of hoping rather than a popularity contest or a best friend thread, this would be others honoring those who make a difference - perhaps I'm looking for those who are encouraging fellow believers in the body of CAA.

Anyway, I thought of some more whom I think truly contribute:

RogieSan - Since I first came to CAA over two years ago he has been in the prayer thread quietly praying for most everyone - if not everyone - who posts there.
Dragonshimmer - I have yet to see her ever not be encouraging to those here. She seems like someone I would truly get along with in real life. Plus, her name is Hope and it's a name which is in all the women of our family, me and my daughter included.
Mave - because she tirelessly encourages young mangaka's on CAA and is always willing to help a young artist.
Photosoph - I see her all over the writing forum encouraging young writers.
Elrickun - Yes, he's my son, but he's always welcomed the Gothic and J-rockers on CAA. And him being here contributes to my personal joy. ^__^
Chibs - For similar reasons to Elric, but also because she's a sweetheart and awesome artist.

Yes, I picked my kids,XD but they are my joy for being on CAA. ^___^

I'm sure I can think of a ton more. I think to say that everyone here contributes in their own way is so true. However, that would make this thread rather pointless and we could just call it a day if everyone answers that way.

I'd have to agree with That Dude's point that it would be weird without those people. Especially me. XD!

I think it's cool to see how each of us bring our own opinions and ideas to CAA. It's great to see so many Christians mingle together and hopefully bless one another, at least most of the time. I can't really single out one person, but I'd have to say that Osaka, Ashley, Shatterheart, TNC, and several others contribute quite a bit. That was an easy list, as there are many more and I couldn't do all of the people who deserve it justice. Still, that's the very compact list for me.

Hmm... I can't say that i do anything for CAA so I really admire all the people who do make it such a great place. I wish I could do more... I'm not going to go into excuses... I feel bratty when I try to explain myself for anything. -_-;

Like others have said, the mods and admins and stuff are give aways. But I appreciate everyone whos here. Everybody makes CAA for me. Its a comforting place to come to when I need a lift. Even if its just to read the goof off threads. ^-^;

Oo, what about Talame? She definitely contributes alot and she's so kind. And the art threads would be way too quiet without Photosoph, Creatureart and Esoteric. Alice is very cool too.

And of course, I tend to be quite biased towards my buddies

Personally, I think the world of CAA is a better place because of the prayer threads. We all face rough times and knowning we can come here for comfort is very uplifting. So for me, the people whom I believe contribute the most are the ones who show people they care:

holysoldier5000, Mangafanatic, Spiritsword, steelbeliever, rogie_san, dragonshimmer, Alice, Yumie, Syreth, Mave, Warrior 4 Jesus and my buddy Razgriz. There are a few others but I'm a bit tired to think....

Oh, and who could forget the Rev himself? Always giving us words of guidence.
