Cutting? Absolutely not! It may (seemingly) feel good for that split second, but after that.. what are you left with? Please don't start, or if you already have, please try and put a stop to it. T__T It solves nothing. I'll be praying for you.

nooooooooooo, deffinately NOT worth it, hit a pillow, rip up paper, but please, DON'T cut, please. . . do you mind if I pray for you?
sometimes when I get angry I go to my room and blast worship music untill it goes away, or I'll just sulk and act grumpy so everyone KNOWS I'm angry, and I've found that doing something that you like tends to push away anger, like I like reading books *LOTS of 'em* so whenever i read a book I tend to forget eveything that's going on in my life cuz' I like reading so much. . . anyways, that's what works for me, I hope it'll help.
if you feel like talking, then PLEASE feel free to PM me if you want, I'd be glad to talk with you or just listen.

T__T I see. Well, please don't start. It honestly won't solve any of your problems. It'll just create new ones, and once you've begun it's hard to stop. If you're trying to let out your anger, maybe you could make a journal and rant in it. Or you could go for a run, if you're up to that. If you feel like you need to hit something, hit your pillow until you've calmed down. If you want, I can talk to you on some messenger service. Just, please keep away from this idea.

as advice from a friend DONT! bad idea. i have another friend that i am helping to try and get her out of the habit. here is sumthin i like to do. i always write or draw when i am mad. say there is a person that really bugs you alot, just get a diary with a lock on it and you can write nastly fake letters to the person that u are mad at. that seems to work for me alot. either that or i go swimming and i scream underwater. no one can hear me and you can do it as loud as you like.^-^

OK, cutting=bad idea! Honestly, inflicting pain on yourself because your angry at someone else or at some situation in your life is not cool! Figure out some other way to get your anger out- I usually pound out some angry song on my piano or hit a pillow or cry or sulk, and all those things work pretty good, ha ha, but the best thing to do I've found is to just pray that God will take away your anger. If you're mad at a person, pray for him! I've figured out that you can't usually stay mad at a person you're praying for even if you want to. If that doesn't work for you, just choose one of those other anger-venting methods and go for it. Hit something. Hit me! You can come to my house and hit me! But please don't start cutting!

my friend cut herself and had to go to the hospital and all of my friends who did that wish they hadnt of you could get gross scars so i dont think you should do it i recommen sports, writing or like me drawing or you could scream into a pillow.
There is one other way when you get mad like some people make a fist well if you are one of those people then let go with one finger at a time saying God i love you with all my heart (first finger) my mind (second finger) my body (third finger) strength (pinky) and my neighbor as my self (thumb)
Just dont cut its not what God wants for your life i wanted to so bad last year but i prayed and came through just keep you mind on other things that your anger.
And ask God to give you Joy it works very well^_^

Realize that people love you, and don't wish to see you throw your life away, let alone risk it...
The only reason people cut, is to get their mind off of something else, to feel that the pain will go away... and it does work ONLY for a short amount of time... in the long run you will end up being like 100x worse than if you don't cut

Baring the fact that cutting yourself hurts the people around you and doesn't provide a solution for the problem, I'm just going to tell you that cutting is completely against the will of God. In Deutoronomy 14:1 we are specifically instructed that, because we are children of God, we must not cut ourselves.
Most important, cutting is like a drug is MANY ways. First, ask anyone who's praticipated in cutting. Once you start, it will be what you turn to in an attempt to comfort yourself. Second, it's an attempt to get out of pain. But it's not ever going to offer you real comfort. What you get from cutting is a temporary "relief", but, like drugs, the next day you'll wake up and need even more physical pain to superceed the emotional pain you're going through. There's only one real answer to that pain-- that's Jesus.

NO! Cutting is bad by all means. Let your anger out in more constructive ways, like beating up a pillow, or breaking pencils. I know a cutter, she almost died.

You don't need to think about God giving up faith in you. It is He who holds us, not we who make things right. If that makes any sense. >.<
As for cutting, I've not done it. However, destructive / addictive things tend to be similar. I.E. It seems like it will help at first. It seems fun / helpful / like it will make the hurting less. But in the end, it isn't fun, you find you can't stop on your own, and it makes the hurting MUCH, MUCH worse.
There is a chemical thing going on with cutting where the pain releases your body's natural painkiller, which makes you temporarily feel better. It is addicting.
And addictions are NEVER, NEVER worth it.
We'll pray for you. In the mean time, try to think of something else that will make you feel better.

You most deffinetly shouldn't be. You need to trust in God's healing mercy to pull ya through the tough times. Like others said hit something(soft), exercise, talk to somebody, something that won't hurt someone else or you. You're still young you have not even begun to experience many of the great things in life that are ahead of you. Is there anyone you can talk to about this in person?
There's gotta be one somewhere close. I mean this is America ya can't go 5 miles without finding some kind of church.

I don't know anyone that cuts, nor do I, so I'm addressing this from ignorance, but please don't hurt yourself. If you're angry, just start moving. Begin some mindless activity, and then start talking to God. Don't think it has to be formulaic, just start talking, crying, or cursing. Let Him know how you feel and why. He loves you, and doesn't want to see you in pain. Just exhaust yourself, talk it all out.

Ok this maybe alittle off topic but I notest that Girls are the ones that cut them selfs......I have not met a Boy that was know to cut him self......Can some one answere this?
Anyway back on topic..........DON'T CUT YOUR SELF......I know some one that cuts her self.......It took 10 years of medical, and Pyshiological(spelling) help to stop the cutting. If you started STOP........It can become a bad habit that will eat you from the inside out. This peson that I am talking about.....well she almost died from cuting todeep. Anyway back to the point.....(Did I just make a funny there?) Let God have all of your anger and let him deal with it....he will help you and give you peace at the same time.

Why cut? One it's a really good way to really mess something up. Also, there are other ways to relieve pain that many fail to recongnize. I talk to many teens that feel like no one understands their pain, but come one, we were all young at one time too. We can understand more thing people realize. Most of us have been there, and can understand. Teenage emotion is nothing new. And I"ve been through a lot of stuff myself...
The best way I found to relieve pain is to just talk about it with another. Cutting or self torture is only a temperary relief... It may help for an hour, but what about after that when the emotional pain comes back? Plus, why scare your parents and friends?
It's okay to feel anger, sadness, guilt, social pressure etc because it's human. But there are safe healthy ways to deal with it. I would suggest not getting into the cicle of self pain relief, it only leads to more and more... Try talking to a friend, parent or whoever. Also, many people here at CAA are always willing to help and lend an open ear. The prayer forum is always open.
From personal experience, I've done a lot of stupid things I regret. But in my almost 20yrs of life, I found the best way for me to lift that heavy burden of pain and grief off my shoulders is just talking about it. So simple that it really works.

I've been there and let me share my own experience so you might reconsider...I was going through a rough time in my family because my brother moved out and left some hurt feelings. I said some things I shouldn't have and he moved away and rarely ever speaks to us...Anyway, i felt horrible and decided I would cut...One thing led to another...I cut my arms my legs my chest and stomach too...it seemed like this was the only kind of pain i could handle and finally when my folks figured it out i was so far into it nothing could get me to stop...i guess it made me mad nobody really tried to stop me so i started breaking glass and cutting myself that way...i stabbed a needle through my cheek because cutting just wasn't "good" enough anymore...i started cutting words into my body like "hate you" and "God is a lie"...yeah...that's how bad it got...finally...i was lying on my bed after i had just cut myself and i started thinking back to my grade school days wehn we had memory verses to learn and i thought of one i particularly liked..."Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears shall hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way; walk in it." Isaiah 30:21...y'know what? i did hear a voice telling me to stop it...i just had to let myself calm down and listen to the silence...it didn't take years of therapy or anything...it just took God's mercy and forgiveness because no matter where you go, he is always with you...God's love is abundant everywhere you go...so, my friend, when nothing else seems to work...trust me...God will show you the way...My peace I give you...God Bless...

I think guys do cut themselves, but it might be the reason more woman cut themselves is because they blame a lot of their problems on their bodies. Also, they internalize the problems more, and, rather than talk it out with someone, they prefer to cut themselves. A friend of mine who once did this said that it was because "Physical pain was easier to deal with than emotional pain."
That's not really an answer, but rather a stab in the dark.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.
Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.
But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. This is something that I have really been trying to tackle because I do not believe cutting is worth it. I have heard many young people are into it in order to relieve themselves from the pain they are going through. I believe that nothing but the blood of Jesus can wash your pain away.
