Well, the Impact is going to have to battle hurricanes. AGAIN.

I hate Florida.

Yup. Should be here Saturday.

Last year I was without power for almost a week... and it was HOT.

So, if I don't come on for a while, I'm probably still alive. If not, well, I guess I won't be seeing you folks anymore. : /

It would be super if you could get involved in a local evacuation shelter. I work under the American Red Cross and some of our area churches. I'm the shelter manager and I organize the one that is about a quarter mile away from my church. I can tell you that it takes a lot of dependable people to help out during that 12 to 36 hour period when people are displaced. So, not only will it give you a place of security, but you can bring some much needed assistence to those in your area. It's a really great way to minister.

:/ I forbid you to talk like that. Yes, you are right at all of the action...I don't envy you. I'm on the coast here in Georgia, but you guys always get the direct hit. We only get it occasionally. I've had the news on, and it looks like we might get a break with this one. Supposedly won't hit FL until up around the panhandle, and I know Volt and I aren't up there.

Yeah, a friend of my Mom's may have to go down and do a news report on the Hurrican when it hits.... Outside in the worst of it. So prayer that he stays safe if he goes.

Hey, I am praying for the safty of all our CAA members in the path of the hurrican stays safe.

We (Georgia) barely got anything from the last one -- just a few sprinkles -- but yeah, Florida defiently gets hit harder.

I just wish the this hurricance will go away. I don't want to have to deal with any more storms that hit my area that came from Tropical Strom Cindy. Having six tornados come in and out of your area is something that I never want to see again.

From what I have seen on the news, most of Florida has not got back to a condition that people would be back in their homes or new homes since last years storms. People are still living in Fed gov provided trailers, piles of destoried homes still in areas around towns.
I guess the Iraq conflict has slowed down reconstruction in Florida because materials are going to Iraq and those that build homes maybe fighting the terrorist in the armed forces.

well impact, ironically enough i'll be joining you and volt in florida from saturday to monday or tuesday 'cus i'm going there with my folks, what makes it so ironic is that since i live in south carolina, i'm actually going more towards the trouble, hope things stay good where you're at, i'll be in tampa and i keep hearing that there's gonna be a lot of rain and some winds there
