got my nose pierced

Small nose piercings can be cute on a girl, but they just seem... Painfull... I mean, even after it's been over with for a long time.. Can's scratch your nose or plug it, can't take the thing out because it fills in so quickly, it's painfull to pull out... Gah... It seems like too much effort to me... (I know these things from a friend who has a pireced nose)

one annoying thing about it is that thre is this hook shape htat like...goes in you nose...and sometimes it moves, and its really uncomfortable, so you hafta go to fix it....but then it looks like your picking your nose. >.>

As to women in the bible getting things pierced, Rebecca received a nose ring as a gift from one of Isaacs servants when God told him she was the one for Isaac, but then the bible also talks against marking and piercing your body like the pagens do, and as far as I know thats pretty much it for body piercing versus that I know off the top of my head.

I think there might be one difference tho...when Pagans get peircings it's typically not JUST getting the piercing rather rituals they go through while getting them. Unlike most people..they are not ornaments..they have deeper, darker meanings. I'm wondering when the bible talks about not getting piercings like the pagans do...that perhaps it means only to not follow the WAYS of the pagans?

An infection that takes hold in a few minutes? I think it takes a lot longer for that to happen.

I've been told I would look cute with my nose pierced, but dang it sounds like it would hurt!!!! I've only had the nerve to get my cartilage pierced. Plus I think my dad would shoot me. . .

That's creepy about what happened to you. I hate when dark stuff like that happens. Like while I was at camp, I was cleaning MUSH (men's upper shower house) with this girl and we're off in a corner hanging shower curtains, when suddenly she runs around the corner to me and says, "Did you hear that?!?" And I was like, "No, hear what?" And I stopped, and right then I hear a thunk from over the wall at the other side of the room. So we both freeze up, and we can hear something scratching and dragging and moving around sporatically. So I'm scared to death to go around the corner, but I can tell that the other girl is totally weirded out too, so I try to say encouraging things about how it's probably just a rabid wild animal (yes, at the time that seemed like an encouraging alternative.) So we stand there forever listening to this thing bang around, and it must have been big too because by there door there is a garbage can and the garabage bag itself comes out over the top of the can at waist level, and it hits the can and the bag. So not long after that another girl comes in, and we run around together armed with brooms to find-- nothing there. It felt weird in there, and really. . . heavy. Later, we heard it again, and took off. It was creepy, especially since there have been seemingly all kinds of spiritual war-fare at camp in the past and it was just. . . weird. Especially when I got home that weekend and told Osaka about it and she told me about how the night before she had woken up in bed with the painfully clear feeling that somebody was standing over her bed. She actually screamed at our little sister and woke her up, and Osaka never gets scared like that. It was just all too creepy. (Wow, that was a lot longer than I thought it was going to be, sorry!) Anyways, yeah, your nose looks awesome! Lol
