I'm not sure since I'm not a doctor or nutritionist, but I think its not healthy to eat only one small meal a day. Your body and mind needs more than that to energize for the day.

My question would be: why the heck are you asking this question?

Fasting for a day or two for religious purposes = okay
Starving for weight loss purposes = I'magunnahavetolaydownthesmack,yo.

You have to be careful with this.
I would ask you why are you only eating one meal a day?
When I first met my fiancé he told he didn’t need to eat every day.
Well he was way under weight. He was so thin that his tummy sunk in.
Well 30lbs later he looks a lot better and he more healthy.
Bottom line eat more then once a day.
And I will be praying for you.

o.O I was vegetarian for like...6 1/2 years and my family is carnivore, but man..you dont have to not eat. It's true some people just dont need to eat much naturally, but yeah..just be careful and maybe i dunno...do some cooking? cooking is fun ^_^

anyway..good luck!

I would say you should get something easy to fix, and fix it for yourself.
Like...
Roman noodles.
Boxes of mac and cheese.
Cereal.
Fruit.
Remember, even if its not and the most heathy thing to eat. At least you are eating something.

Rice + soy sauce for lunch and dinner. Two slices of toast with too thin a layer of butter on it for breakfast.

Everyday, same thing, it never changes...

Fruits and veg are good for you and something vegetarians can eat. My brother eats a lot of those pre-peeled tiny carrots. There are a lot of different fruits out there too, both dried and fresh.

It might be a good idea to keep some of these sort of things on hand, because they're easy and healthy.

I think you should definitely eat more than once a day, even if it's just snacks at first, until you get used to eating more. You should still be growing, so you need to eat. :thumb:

Well, Volt, it sounds like you've got a blood sugar issue. Eating a large meal after a fast causes your insulin levels to shoot up to deal with the sudden rise in blood sugar from eating, and that is what sends you snoozin'. If you ate smaller meals at shorter intervals, the change in blood sugar levels wouldn't be as extreme.

Also, my grandfather used to eat a Hersheys kiss after dinner to help keep himself awake. (to soften the blood sugar drop from the insulin)

And one small meal a day is typically not enough to sustain a human being at a high level of effectiveness. It may sustain life, but probably won't provide enough energy and raw materials to let you do as much as you could with more fuel.
The cake used to be a lie like you, but then it took a portal to the deception core.

Yeah it's really just not very healthy to keep doing this day after day. It takes a toll on your body. And your family aren't carnivores they're omnivores.:P

No... i don't think that's what she meant...

Omnivores eat anything... Carnivores eat only meat. As far as I recall.

Wolves are cool. I wrote a whole novel about aliens who happened to look nearly identical to wolves.... heheh. I loved writing that.

I do know one person who is an actual carnivore (that means absolutely nothing but meat, truly nothing but meat, not even the gravy if it has potatoes in it, no "plant" cells whatsoever). That person suffers from extreme digestive problems from lack of fibre. Truly, if your family's alive and well they're gotta be omnivorous. As we humans are meant to be.

My theory is that eat everything given in moderation. A little of meat here, a lot of cereal and rice and vegetables, and various other things inbetween. Then again I don't get much food to eat so another theory says stop complaining and eat what's given, because there are people out there that can't eat it even if they want to.

I starve myself during the day, Then eat a HUGE meal at night.

Why?

Because eating makes me sleepy. I can't help it. The second i'm full, my body shuts down and it's time to go night night.

That's not unusual. In fact, the larger the meal you eat, the worse this phenomenon is. Haven't you ever heard of people taking naps after lunch?

I usually vary between forgetting to eat for a day or two and then gourging down on all the food i can find when i realize i've not been eating and am hungry

there isn't anything wrong with small meals, as long as you get your nutrition in, and don't starve yourself. my sister eats a small salad for lunch and has a small dinner usually, and she's energetic and healthy.

BTW, my dog will eat meat, cheese, grass, pizza, etc. (so would a wolf probably, so canines arent true carnivores most likely)

Dogs are domesticated. They'll eat whatever you give them half the time. A starving wolf maybe but a healthy wolf will only go for meat.

Let`s just say I`m not the skinniest person in the world so I feel sorta guilty if I eat too big a meal. I usually aim for 3 small meals a day.
