Postby desperado » Fri Jun 24, 2005 8:46 am

i just got done watching martian succesor nadesco and the ending made you think there is going to be or is a sequal (also with the way ruri put it it seemed almost like it was in the works) is there a sequel to this show?

There's a movie that takes place later on that's pretty much very decently okay. It's nothing mind-blowing but if you liked Nadesico, it's worth checking out, I think.

As Kkun said, there's a movie. It really isn't up to the standards of the TV series, if you ask me. Very skippable, but if you're a big fan the the TV series, you'll probably want to watch it.

The movie also leaves you kinda wanting more, it brings no closure to the series. There's also a video game that bridges the gap between the movie and series...Alas it isn't realesed in America...

I'd like to play that game, unfortunately, I don't understand Japanese, so that is a wee bit of a road block. I agree with desperado's sentiment that the TV series did not give enough closure, though. The movie doesn't bring closure either, though, it's like a one and a half hour long filler episode. That is sad, indeed.

i think if they would have given us two or three more episodes to close it all up it would have been great. say we see yurika and the main character (im not even going to try to spell it) acctually getting along (like some animes (love hina) even though there going out its like there not going out... if you know what i mean (in nadescos case he would deny it or run away from her loving or the other girls would still chase him)) we see some closer on the jovian earth incedent, like a stalemate or such and we see what the character do after nadesco, but nooo, no closure fo us.....

by the way does the movie go on like the series or does it acctually show after the nadesco?

What system is the game for?

(They didn't bring it to America? Cue Ruri: "Idiots.")

The Blank of three Years is on Sega Saturn, and there is a game based after the movie, on Dreamcast

Heh, yeah but it makes Brett Weaver the only VA to have a character assisinated not once but twice during a series.

And if anybody ever checked out the manga for this, it's actually quite a bit different from the anime in many many ways. I'm a fan of Kia Asimiya's work so I thought I'd pick it up and found all sorts of differences to it. Most of which were quite amusing.

Oooh. What's it called? I've got a Dreamcast and this would be perfect. ^^

The first one was for saturn?

Actually, there were Two Games? The dreamcast one is just based on the movie?
