Worst Villains

Worst Villains

Postby Alice » Sun Jun 19, 2005 5:34 pm

This isn't really about anime, but just about any villains that you actually find scary.

Name 'em. If ya dare. ;)

Personally, I can't think of a villain I actually fear at the moment, but I can think of a 'type:' evil doctors.

I can't think of anything scarier than evil doctors. Doctors have a certain amount of power, and people trust them. And they could cover up records of foul play....

Ahem. Anyway, name 'em if you fear 'em.
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share

And no one dared
Disturb the sound of silence.

Clowns just creep me out. Any clown is immensely scary, because the makeup and the whole evil lurking inside thing . (Apologies to everyone in a clown ministry.) We should all be afraid.
But even if we don't feel at ease, God is greater than our feelings and He knows everything. 1 John 3:20

Crooked cops aka cops-turned-bad. I never liked them coz they always knew how to evade the law and manipulate it to serve their wickedness.

Scariest villan or enemy? Hmm. How bout a brother/sister turning on you. Or, a husband/wife. That would suck either way.

Gigantic Spiders. Of any variety, of any genre, in any place. Same applies to sharks--I have a deep, irrational fear of sharks.

Snakes. I hate them. With a passion. The only good snake is a dead snake.

Aliens. Well, this isn't one that *I* have found scary in any movie, game, or book, but I think they have the potential to be if done right and not cheesy like.

Anyone that seems like a good guy, but is really so evil that they can even hide their evil-ness.

I'll have to go with Asheley on the spiders thing! I dunno if they'd make good villains but they scare the heck out of me even when I'm a hundred times their size and they probably arent dangerous anyway.

I guess emporer palpatine from starwars is a little scary, even though Vader is a billion times cooler.

Toward the end of Full Moon I wanted to kick Izumi in the face more than I ever wanted anything in my life. The way he attacked people at their most vulnerable and systematically picked away at their happiness before finally granting them the grim respite of death, it repulsed me in a way I never thought possible.

Nazis. Not the those used as plot devices in movies, but the real thing, whether it is a skin-head of a classic Nuremberg Nazi. I don't think I have to explain too much why.

Jeremy Irons in Dungeons and Dragons. Actually, any aspect of that movie is awful:

the dialogue
the lousy SFX
the poor fight coreography
the plot holes
the fact that the best actor was Damon Wayans...
...which is not a very good thing
...and the fact that his character dies (it ALWAYS has to be the black guy, huh?)
Job 7:16

Norman Bates is considered as Hollywoods #1 Villan... (guy from psycho)
Hannibal Lector as #2
And Darth Vader as #3

Norman Bates scares me, read about him here
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norman_Bates

and whats even scarier is that Norman Bates is based off a real serial Killer, Ed Gein
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ed_Gein

warning: some of the descriptions are a bit.... intense... and disturbing

Since this is suddenly about Hollywood baddies, I nominate Michael Corleone (Al Pacino) from The Godfather Trilogy. Many people confuse him for a goodguy who's just doing what's good his own way. That's where they're wrong. Michael Corleone has got to be one of the most truly evil villains ever to spill onto the silver screen - the things he do in the name of his "family" is simply dispicable - few people actually realize this irony.

Big, man eating type creatures. I don't know why, but those things always freak me out. The T-Rex on Jurassic Park, Jaws, NoFace from Spirited Away.

It's probably because of my extremely overactive imagination.

Well stating the obvious, after the worst villain (you know who) the worst villains would have to be demons. Real ones. You know 'em. All of you would have come into conflict with them wether you know it or not. Of course why wouldn't you. Because they are oh so real. Sometimes tangible. But the worse fact is that they can be anything, they could pretend to be aliens. They might be spiders. They can be anything you fear, or they could be something your not afraid of at all... because they can also seem harmless, depending on the circumstance and person. After all, what could drive a person closer to asking God for help than something that scares you...
Thats what makes them the worst villains. Because they're had thousands of years of experience which makes them smarter than you can ever be.
We were meant to live for so much more.

Politicians and Game Show Hosts(other than Richard Dawson! ).
Speaking about Game Show Hosts doesn't anyone else think that Richard
Dawson stole the entire Running Man movie? :thumb:
I also think that liberals are scarry.

Actually, the book is a Socialist propaganda book. I'd say watch Super Size Me or read Don't Eat This Book, both by the same guy, Morgan Spurlock.

When I first saw Hatori on Fruits Basket, I feared him. Honestly! I thought he was going to be an Evil Doctor.

Reasons: people seemed unnerved by him, he could erase memories, and he had a bit of that villain-thing going on.

If they hadn't gone overboard to make him sweet and cuddly, I would probably still fear him. (But the whole sad-past-nice-guy thing won me over.)

Can we do historical villains? Nero was a real creep (not only did he have his own mom killed he also slaughtered a bunch of Christians too), and so was Joseph Stalin.
