Pierced!!

Postby Heed » Fri Jun 10, 2005 7:59 pm

Yeahhh.. so I was at the mall today and I wanted to get my ear pierced... actually I have for some time now and I finally did. I am pretty much to the age where I didn't hear any objections to it from my parents... Anyway, when I sat in the chair t have it done, I was sooooooo nervous. The lady said that alot of guys get scared when they have it done. It was over so fast I didn't barely feel it... anyway, I think it was alot better then I was told... anyway..

Yeah, I know I am a Christian and I see noting wrong with getting my ear pierced even though i know some Christians do.. anyway, I respect ther beliefs and all. I just don't see anything wtrong with it as long as you are not doin it for a really bad reason or anything.
The Straight and Narrow

I chose to walk the straight and narrow road, but one day I lost balance and fell off it. I had fallen onto some sharp rocks and injured myself. There were people passing by who would merely stare at me, and then keep walking. Thoughts of worthlessness entered into my mind, and as I chose to believe the lies, my wounds grew worse. I was so overcome with grief that I nearly gave up... but then a man walked up to me and stopped. Without saying a word, he started to wrap my wounds, he gave me some water, and then lifted me up and embraced me. He then whispered these words into my ear, "I love you my child." As he said those words I could feel all the worthlessness and despair fall away. He then held out his hands. They had huge holes in them. He then said, "Walk with me." I then took his hand and we walked together. Every now and then I would fall from the road, but no matter where I fell, he was always there to pick me up and tell me that He loved me.

Yeah, I dont plan to ever get any piercings, fisrtly because I dont like pain, and also because I dont think they would look good on me.

Who cares if there overdone or not? If someone likes somthing...it really is none of our business. Worrying about what others think of your fashion is a sad place to be and is vaguely hits me with memories of the Fight Club film. Wear what you like....ignore what others think of your sence of fashion.

Congrats Heed. I'm not going to get any time soon as I don't think they would suit me and I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to pain.

I used to have my ear pierced in like 3rd grade. Then when I went to visit family in Wisconsin, my cousin accidently hit my ear while rough housing and it swelled up. Now I have like a permanent knot there. But I'm glad that happened, because I looked soo ridiculous with an ear ring. It looked plain stupid on me. Personaly, I don't see anything wrong with it. Some people look good with it, some don't. If you can sport an ear ring, more power to ya. :)

Also, I agree it didn't hurt one bit. The place I went to had an ear piercing gun that took only a split second to do. So what kind of ear ring did ya get, a loop or maybe a lobe stretcher?

I'm telling you, if i got a free lego peice for everytime I saw a guy that looked ridiculous with an ear peircing I'd be able to make a life-sized model of the pentagon.

That's pretty cool, Heed! Ear piercings are insanely rad... I've pierced ears, but I'm too lazy to buy ear rings so I usaully don't have anything in them. >.>

agasfas, you had your ear pierced in 3rd grade? :eyebrow: How many little boys have their ears pierced at the age of....8? I'm impressed, though slightly confused.

My Mom's insane, so I've had my ears pierced for as long as I can remember. I've thought about getting more piercings (mainly out of boredom and random impulsiveness, to be honest. Who knew, impulsiveness in an honor student!). However, I'd only be interested in more ear piercings, and I'm too lazy to keep earrings in them.

yeah, thats not a good thing if you want to have a cartiledge earing. I don't think I have had an earing out of mine for more than 5 minutes at any time. They grow in VERY fast which is a pain.... but it's still a lot of fun!

x3 awesome Heed, you've got to post us some pictures soon! I personally kinda like earrings on guys. ^^;

I'm not too hot on cartiledge piercings, nose rings, belly rings, tongue/lip rings on anyone, but regular ole' earrings are pretty cool. I've had my ears peirced since I was 5 or 6 (I was reluctant at the time but my mom told me it wouldn't hurt and that I'd want them pierced later on anyways, and she was right on both counts), and I've been considering getting one or two more holes for a while now. :sweat: But my family isn't too keen on it, so I'll just have to wait until I'm out of the house.

I have my second and third holes pierced and I regret piercing my third one because it's really hard to match all the earings, but it was fun for the first couple of years

Personaly, I jsut think the whole idea is kinda gross, but women in Bible days were praised because they looked so beautiful with their peircings. Don't remember what it said abotu men, but it had something to do with slavery. As lond as it's not over done or dont for the sake have mutilation, it's fine by me. I'd even consider a tattoo for myself if it didn't hurt... I regret getting my ears pierced, it's annoying.

I've had my ears pierced since I was about two years old but I don't wear earrings too often. Mainly because they get caught in my hair but also because I have the bad habit of losing one and then the other is completely useless.

I've decided that I'm definitely getting my cartiledge pierced and to my suprise, my mom actually volunteered to take me to get it done...but where would the fun be in that? So I'm waiting for another two weeks or so when I go to visit a friend in Panama City to get it pierced.
"So David said to Michal, "It was before the LORD, who chose me instead of your father and all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel. Therefore I will play music before the LORD. And I will be even more undignified than this, and will be humble in my own sight. But as for the maidservants of whom you have spoken, by them I will be held in honor."

I really like cartiledge piercings but guaging your ears to the extreme is kinda weird looking. anything below a ten guage is kind of gross in my opinion

Nice! I think piercing looks good on most guys (although I have seen a few exceptions ^^; ). I've had mine pierced since I was 13 and I got the top of my ear pierced when I was 18.

Cool! Guys look nice with ear piercings. I don't have my ears done. I'm kind of a wimp concerning pain. I guess that's why it's weird that I want to get my eyebrow pierced and get some tattoos.

I don't think fashion is quite as important of a concept as how you treat others. And they don't HAVE to look at you. It's none of their business, and if they don't like how you look, they'll get over it. If not, they have quite a sad life.

But what is all this about Fight Club and fashion? I don't recall much of that in the movie. (which disturbed me to no end)

I'll post a pic of it soon..

Anyway, thanks fo al the comments... my mom thinks my earring looks good. @_@;

hah.. anyway yeah.. I don't care what people think about me and how I dress, I thik I dress in my own style.. I used to be a goth but I dress more prep sometimes, then another day I might be punk or look goth again but I usually blend the styles..

I like to dress nicely but comfortably, but like I said, if I was walking down some main street here and someone criticized my fashion, I would give thema quarter and tell them to cal someone who cares.

I am happy being me, and I am relly liking my piercing... if only the stud would stop cathcing on my shirt collars when I take off my shirts.. >.<;
