Black Jack?

Postby Alice » Sat Jun 11, 2005 5:02 pm

I keep seeing Black Jack at the video store, 2 or 3 DVDs of it. I know the creator of it is really an icon, so for that I'm interested. But anything that has to do with operations (blood, the proceedures they show on the Discovery Health channel), really grosses me out.

So, my question for you is, how is it? Has anyone seen it? Will I feel physically ill from watching the operations? (Do they actually show operations?)

And is there any other objectionable content?

Thanks~~~

BLACKJACK!!!!!! w00t the first manga I ever read. I have the first 6 eps on DVD, and they are great. Well written, decent dubs, blah blah blah.

However....

Surgery--at least one in every episode. It's not as bad as anything you'd see in a CSI episode on TV, but could be disturbing to some viewers. In my opinion, they were tastefully done.

Nudity--some (quite a bit in episode 3...my least favorite anyway). Also some in episode 4, but it's not very clear.

hope this helps!

Thanks for the info.

I dislike nudity, so I may have to forgo this. Um, I don't watch CSI so I don't know what you mean by tastefully. I guess I want to know if they actually show the operations.

Thanks for the info. ^.^ I don't think I'm going to run out and watch it. Maybe someday, when I have a stronger stomach...
