New Titles

Ok, here I was reading my email the other day and Funimation sent me their newsletter I signed up for. I opened it up and there was a new anime that is or will be coming out very soon called Blast Angel. According to the previews, some time in the not so distant future a group has risen to power in Tokyo and they have set up an "Eye for and Eye" type law where revenge and weapon carrying is legit and violence floods the streets (gee, I wonder why). Along comes a gun toting "angel" who is a oddly/mildly questionably dressed woman. She and two companions (I think) go around and start "cleaning up the joint" in a wild west, vigilante sort of way since the government seems to be intent on destroying the people with a "let them kill themselves off" kind of policy. The preview also said that she is an angel, but no body knew "if she was sent from above or sent by way down below."

Tell me if you can what you know, please.

Also, I wanted to know what you all thought of Pon Poko: Heisei Tanuki Wars. The tanukis (racoon dogs) are being crouded out of their ancestral home and can live few other places besides in the forest by the rivers. Mild language, male tanuki scrotums are shown for gender identification, humor, and to attack (gross) humans - historically accurate with the tanuki legends - non-sexual except that two tanukis mate off screen (resulting in a pair of pups) and they make references to abstainence with out ever saying "sex" and it is mostly a Japanese Disney thing with references to DLand. For more info on the film I own a fansub and find it (save for a few parts) pretty good. Just getting yall's opinions.

*slams a fan across head*

The least you could do is get the name of the series right. The show is called Burst Angel. It is licensed and soon to be released by Funimation. As for the show itself. I have heard that the CG and artwork is the Gonzo prettiness we al enjoy. Also there are four chicks involved wit this series not just one. And they all have some funky costumes.

One other thing is the original name of the series is Bakuretsu Tenshi. Anyways from what I saw and what I heard yes it is really pretty but there is little actually good point to this series. Even unlike Kiddy Grade, this one even late into the series has very little actual cohecive plot.

Grey Hawk the Great is a Grec king in a tale that I have written, about a boy who is whisked away from home to fill the void on a throne that he didn't know he could inherit. It is linked through the quote I have written. It was one of my favorite lines I wrote. I am glad of any feedback if you should like to give. Only a few portions of the tale has gone live. The rest I am saving for possible publication. (Hope, hope, pray, pray)

perhaps this will help ^_^ http://animenewsnetwork.com/reviews/display.php?id=633

in ref to that link, 3 of the girls are Meg, Jo, and Amy? o.O Why do I feel a very odd 'little women' reference?
Cast in the name of God, ye not guilty.

A scathing review, but there you have it. I have seen the opening theme for the show and was looking forward to it, but it seems it will be just an excuse to show fan service and violence. Bummer.

Just to use this thread rather then post a new one...it seems more Hellsing is coming. An OVA has just been announced at some French Anime thing. No word on how many episodes or really what it will be about for sure.

Hmmm ... things to think on .... are there other new ones out there? Anybody seen Pon Poko? It is pretty good, I just submitted a review and hope that they will like it enough to greenlight my submission. It is rated PG, and is funny - with a message. :D
