The Farthest Shore is followed by Tehanu, then The Other Wind, making five books in the main cycle itself. There is also Tales from Earthsea, a collection of short stories, one of which ("Dragonfly") acts as a bridge story between Tehanu and The Other Wind.
None of these titles is, in my opinion, very impressive; while the last two novels of the series do answer some questions about the world, their tone is completely different from the first three books (not surprising, since they were published about 20 years after The Farthest Shore). The Other Wind was significantly better than Tehanu, but still not nearly as good as the first three books of the series. My advice is as follows: if you have not yet read the last two books of the series, then don't.

That is what I was figuring. After Tehanu, I wasn't going to waste any more time on her stuff. Sadly, cause I really liked the EarthSea trilogy...

Ah; I had only read through The Furthest Shore. I am glad to hear that advice, however, because it has been years since I read the books and if I wished to finish the primary cycle I would have to do significant rereading.

I just finished Grass for His Pillow by Lian Hearn, after rereading his Across the Nightingale Floor. Now, I'm off to buy the third book in the trilogy (Brilliance of the Moon). I have a bad feeling that the main characters are all going to die. XD;;;;;;

Currently reading Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series. Just finished chapter one of book six: Lord of Chaos. Its really really good for a fantasy, i think even if (again in my opinion) no one can come near topping Lewis and Tolkien

Unfortunate events have kept me from having a chance to read anything past the second chapter since I've picked it up a week ago.
It's by the author of Old Mortality, (My absolute favorite book ever!) and my youth group leader recommended the movie to me. So I thought I'd pick the book up first to see if it was any good.
I have a ton of free time tomorrow, so I'll probably be half-finished with it by then, hopefully by that time I can edit this post and replace it with an overview of the plot.

Last week on History Channel they did a full week of the Civil War and
one episode was about the Great Locomotive Chase that wound up
inspiring the Buster Keaton movie.And yes the Conductor and Engineer did take off running after the General like in the movie.
I know off topic but interesting factoid.
On topic:I just checked out Rebel With A Cause by Franklin Graham
(William Franklin Graham III).Quick and easy reading and a lot of
hilarious stuff as well.The parts where he talks about his mother are
especially funny.(Ruth Bell Graham is quite the character! )
