Date with destiny? Which one was that? if you're referring to the one where Robin was forced to go to the prom, then that was one of my fav. eps. It was sooooooo funny! XD just watching the expression on Robin's face! XD
oh, btw, what about the one where Starfire was going to get married? I only saw the beginning of it, can anyone tell me what happened?

I do. It's like a supplement to the TV show. I also read the comics and have for many years.

Could someone give me information regarding said comics (Teen Titans GO, not the originals)? Are they fairly standard American comics, something online or something entirely different? I have not seen them or even heard of them before this point.

The Teen Titans GO! comic is produced by DC and should be available through any store that sells comics (although you may need to ask them to stock it, or at least order it for you).

The comic has the same look and feel as the TV show, which is considerably different from your standard comic book fare. The comic tells different stories from the TV show that fit more or less to the TV show's current continuity.

As for the comic Titans history - the Teen Titans (Robin, Aqualad, and Kid Flash) first appeared as a team in the comic Brave and the Bold 56 in 1964, but they were not named until a year later in their next appearance in The Brave and the Bold 60. In this issue, they were identified as the Teen Titans and had two more members - Speedy and Wonder Girl.

In 1966, they got their own comic book. They have taken several breaks, but the Titans in one incarnation or another have been a main-stay of the DC Universe ever since. The characters on the animated series are taken from the popular Titans comics of the 80's and 90's.

Since this last Sat night Teen Titans was a repeat, I get the feeling that something was out sequent. The Nov 6 episode was the story of the moth that Beast Boy had taken as a pet and then gave to Starfire to keep the others from destorying.
Well the opening of this last Teen Titans had the moth pet sleeping on the couch while Robin trys to figure out where Slade maybe. This episode was shown earlier in the season and I don't remember the other episode being shown before the other.
Did Cartoon Network goof up?

Cartoon network can be funny about when it shows new episodes. It may be a planned break in the new shows. I don't recall them advertising a new episode for last week.

I've read an issue or two. It's okay, though I don't think the comic's artists are as good as the show's

Hmm....what do I say.

I do, or did like Teen Titans, but situations arose to where I had to give it up. :-(

Oh well, life's better without it, for me anyway.

There were a few aspects of the show that I loved. Humor, of course. BB and Cyborg should start a road tour. And Robin...well, he's little else but a cheap ripoff of Batman. A cool one, but doesn't touch the real thing.

I had an idea for self-insertion in the story, as The Doctor, in his 9th regeneration. The idea I had was that BB was The Doc's nephew. BB's real mom and dad were murdered in an all out war on their planet with (da duhm) Azerath. Course, he was far too young to remember it all, and the Doc arrived just in time to save him (and was more than just a little ticked off at Trigon {as far as I can tell, that's the FAN made name for Raven's dad}). (However, that anger wouldn't be transferred to Raven.)

Well, to sum up my ideas, the Doc raises the kid on his own. Keep in mind that with each regeneration (this is for the Who purists out there, no doubt readying to throw eggs at me), the Doc's personality changes with each regeneration, and this Doctor is kind, patient, loving, with of course the usual eccentricity, craziness, (probably where BB learned it all) and uber-intelligence beneath it all (BB didn't inherit this trait). And it turns out that the Doc, in one of his travels, discovers what will happen in the future on Earth, and that Slade is behind it all. Rather than become directly involved, he notices his nephews interest in superheroes, so he puts a plan in place to create a force to keep Slade in check. Gathering forces from Earth and other places in the universe, wa la. TT is made. Though he never reveals himself to them. Only one knows his existence, and as far as he's concerned, he's just a kind loving uncle who helped him realize his dream of rescuing others when he dropped him off at Earth.

Course, I'd write that he would return to see his nephew in the future....
If anything I'd look forward to the interaction between the Doc and Raven. She'd dismiss him as another fool...only to have an adventure where they're all in trouble and it's the two fools who save the day, where it's revealed just how smart the Doc really is. LOL. That'd put her in her place!

I'm Pro BB+Rav (yeah, I know it's not realistic.) Any questions what that means? Well, pm me and I'll explain.

Oh yeah, and before I leave, NO Beast Boy would NOT be able to regenerate. That's one of the genetic traits that he DID not get from his mother (The Doctor's sister, who married one of BB's people. I know I'm going against what the comics wrote about how he got powers. I'm just imagining.)

Actually, I believe that Trigon was the name of Raven's father in the original comic series. People merely assume that it carries over.

Trigon is indeed the comic book name, but I don't recall him ever being named in the series. They do mention the name of the place Raven was born though - Azarath - in the episode where Raven and Starfire switch bodies. It seems a safe bet her father's name would carry over into the cartoon.

Azarath - the first word spoken in Raven's mantra - is her birth place, but the other two words - metrion and zinthos - have no such significance to the story. Although I have read that metrion is supposed to be the name she had on Azarath and
Zinthos was the name of her pet Raven there, that has no connection with the comics.

They just destroyed Beast Boy's origin in the comic book to the point where he really doesn't have on anymore, so perhaps your origin will work The Doctor.

hmm, I might go off on a tangent. My favorite character is Starfire *points to name* probably because I can relate to her the most, being the outsider type with kinda weird habits and not fully understanding pop culture. Yeah that's me. Plus she's just so cute and innocent! I can't not like her. I know that there is a titans go comic but I can't find it, I'd love to read one though. I've seen the artwork for it and I wouldn't mind if one of the episodes was animated that way. I'm all for the Star/Robin and Cyborg/Raven relationships. Yeah, the latter is unrealistic but I'm still for it. I'm PSYCHED about the new episodes to premiere this weekend and driving everyone around me even more crazy than I already do for it. From the many spoilers I've heard, wow...I'm really anticipating it. Anyway, there go my two cents for that.

I'd like it more if they stopped doing the Japanese version of the theme. It's almost like they're trying to fool us into thinking it's Japanese.

I very much doubt that. To a certain extent, I feel that people are so focused upon the anime-esque elements that they can't consider the possibility that the creators aren't trying to "copy" the style.

I like the Japanese theme - but they do tend to reserve it for the goofier episodes. I know when I hear it I'm in for a good laugh.

Cough, cough.

It's been a while, but I was wondering how all you Titans fans felt about the recent Raven series.

Raven's my favorite Titan, so I'll enjoy any episodes that center on her. Anyway, I like the interaction between her and Robin - especially in that they seem to be very close as friends, but no more. There's no romance there.

Anyway, opinions?

Which episodes would that be? The End of the World ones or others? In the latter case, I saw the first two of three. Rather irksome.

In principle Robin is my favorite, but this one lacks the humanity that makes Batman an interesting "superhero." Therefore, Raven is generally the character I like to see most. I'm always supportive of non-romantic relationships in mainstream media, so this one is fine by me.

I only discovered this show very recently, when I decided to watch it after finding nothing else on TV. And... I can't believe I wasn't watching this a long time ago. I love it!

I was so miffed that Batman didn't make an appearance in Apprentice Pt. 2. They built my hopes up, then dashed them to pieces. They missed some good plot right there. But...

If they ever do such a crossover, and it's the new animated Batman, I will cry. :waah!:

The End was an excellent three parter, though I would have written a few things differently.

Hopefully, they'll have plenty more good stuff planned for Season 5.
