People look like their avatars?

Postby Alice » Sun May 22, 2005 11:29 pm

Does anyone seriously think people look like their avatars?

Do y'all think I look like Kai???

I don't *think* I think people look like their avatars, but I guess they do affect my opinions, because until I read more of what the person's like, gender and age, etc., the avatar is what I go by.

Scary! I wonder if I should choose an avatar that actually represents me?

...thinks for a second....

Nah.

With the exception of me being round and smile a lot, no I don't look like my avatar. In fact, I don't even own a pare of sunglasses. Doh.

Most definately not. I've never really had an avatar, in my years of forum hopping, that looked like myself. It'd be hard because I can't seem to find an anime character that looks like me, or even have the courage to put my own photo on display. Although the avatar I have now represents my interests as far as what series I like and the girl I want to marry. :)

Do I look like an eastern dragon? And I certainly hope I don't look like Chihiro, as I am a 17 (soon 18) year old guy. ;) :P

A quick check of the post your pic thread will show I look nothing like mine. The goatee throws it off ;)

I always picture people looking like their avatars... But what's cool is when their avatar actually is them.

Me? Nope.

Although this image I captured from the Fumoffu intro looked pretty enough to capture the beauty that is Tessa Testarossa. ^_^

Hmm... I don't even have an avatar up yet but I usually like to pic something that represents an aspect of my personality since I will forever remain a ambiguous alien.

No, I don't look like my avatar. I'm not short, almost featureless and have a golden tuft of hair, or wear old-style clothes. The only similarity I have with my avatar (Tintin) is that I'm a young man.

I made my avatar to look like myself, so I guess that's cheating. On the other hand, I don't know that I did a very good job...

I don't know why anyone would have an avatar that doesn't look like them. I mean, are you trying to hide something? Or are you trying to represent yourself as something you are not?

I think Kura's trying to make me believe he's a girl. Or perhaps she's a boy. I'm not really sure which. All I know for sure is the Kura's pretty good a Pacman.

See what I mean? It's better if your avatar has some resemblance to you. Just like mine.

But wouldn't the process nulify you? Besides, if I die and get an extra turn I'll have to go through end exams all over again.

Aside from being short, Japanese, and wearing that expression often, I'm glad to say I don't look much like Kantaro.

It'd be really WEIRD looking like your favorite bishounen. o_o

Despite the fact that my avatar is an ill-tempered chibified music director more than ten years my junior I actually bear a moderate physical resemblance to him.

If I look like my avatar, then I have some problems. One of which being it would make me a CD cover/ad for said CD. That could pose a problem to my many life goals.
