Numbered Names

Postby gundam743 » Fri May 20, 2005 6:26 pm

just got struck by an odd thought: why do people have numbers in their screen names?

I myself have 3 numbers in mine (7, 40, + 3) because they're some of my favorite numbers in the Bible, but what other reasons does everyone else have?

I can't tell the difference between numbers and letters.

I figure it is because they cant have the original name and so they stick on numbers at the end, rather thatn coming up with a more unique name. then they keep that number on that name whereever they go. this is merely speculation.

lol...Mine's my PS2 parental password. I wanted to make sure no one would have my name to begin with, so I didn't have to work out another one. And this way I won't forget my password.

The choice has been made. There's no looking back. I won't let up, back up, give up, or shut up. My focus clear. My path is straight. My God, reliable. I'm a disciple of Christ.

Gods plan is like the sun. its too big and bright to look at directly, and sometimes the rain clouds cover it, but sometimes the plan dapples through the clouds and we can see beautiful glimpses of what he has in store for us.

It's because probably the name they have is somewhat common, so they want to use numbers to distinguish themselves. Take...Hikari. Do you know how many flipping Hikaris there are in the net?

ummm... I was using the name of a story I was writing that had a random cool sounding date that I picked as a screename when i joined. None of my other screennames have numbers though.

Hmm... are there any Net folk whose name is just a number? (Excluding ICQ).
