Almost died doing the dishes of all things!

Postby Pent » Thu May 19, 2005 3:41 pm

So I'm doing the dishes and I'm done. So I reached in the little area under the sink and I grabbed the wrong type of dishwashing stuff that you put in it. And I poured a little in the dishwasher before I realized it was the wrong stuff. So I put it back under the sink and took out the right thing and just before I poured it (I figured the little bit of the wrong type of cleaning stuff in there wouldn't be to bad) I remembered this science class I had taken I don't know how many years ago where my teacher warned us against mixing something with something (both are in different types of cleaners) so sure enough I looked on the back of the container and a huge warning label don't mix with blablabla (I can't remember what the 2 things where) and on the container of the cleaning stuff I had poured first it says don't mix with blablabla (the other thing). I remember my science teacher had told us that if you do mix these things it makes nerve gas! :wow!: Which kills people really quickly and (if you have ever seen The Rock) kind of hurts you pretty bad while it kills you. God had a big hand in this I'm sure. I knew it right away after it happened. There is a reason I'm on this Earth after all! :)

Would that be bleach and amonia, by any chance?

I've seared my lungs (maybe not literally, but it felt like it) before mixing bleach with some cleaning compound when I worked as a janitor. I then looked at the instructions and what do you suppose they said not to mix with the compound...?

Heh first day I worked at the store I work at...we were told all about never putting bleach and amonia in the same bag. Dead customers don't spend much money at the store. ^^;;

Hee hee... I've almost died because of my own stupidity loads of times...Like that time I almost choked to death on a corndog...Or the time I fell off of the front of a horse and almost into a trench of rocks...Or the time I fell off of a concrete wall in front of the whole school...Or the time I jumped over a coiled water moccasin... You get the picture. Still...almost being killed by dishwasher detergent? That's pretty funny.
