Summer...almost...here...need...now

Postby Sparrowhawk » Thu May 12, 2005 10:43 am

Okay, so this is mostly to those of us still in school or college, but obviously everyone still has summer if not a summer break. What's everyone going to do for summer? Its almost here!!!!!   :jump:

I will be getting my first "real job" (i worked as a refferee for a while, but i got to pick when i worked and even if i worked). I plan on working on my book I'm writing and the story of a manga I'm writing,

Going to England and Scotland with on a Bible and Literature tour my school is sponsering, read manga, watch anime, read a few good books, play some video games, sleep, hang out with friends, and get ready to play soccer for my school this fall.

So anyone else excited about what they are doing this summer?

"The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say."

The better question for me is what WON'T I be doing?

I go back "full time" to my part time job (I was only working 2 shifts a week) next week, now that finals are over, which means I'll be working 4 or 5 days.

Val and I will also be leading the girl's bible study every week.

Shatterheart is going to come rock Houston again for a week, I'm going on a missions trip to Mexico for a week, and in August I will hopefully be transferring into seminary with a big going away bash. :jump:

what am I doing this summer? same thing I always do...try to take over the world.

ahem...I mean...I'm not going to be doing much. I don't go to college or work or anything at the moment. I'm supposed to go down to Texas to meet up with some people in June, so that'll be cool. and my dad is supposed to move back in July, so that's awesome. but that's about it, as far as I know.

Me and my family might get to take 2 months and sail to hawaii! Maybe. *crosses fingers and hopes*

I go to one of the dumbest schools because of this there is no high school for the school I go to. So we all go to different highschools. And I'm losing all my friends and starting new. I had alot of friends at this school. ANd I just started to get to know them good to. But I got to live with it. Anyways during the summer I'll probably go over to my extremely rich friends house 24/7. Me and my other friends are always going over to his house.

I'll be working, on a job that will actually earn me money (hopefully) and plenty of jobs for extended family (certainly). Other than that, I hope to have some time to get some serious writing done. This summer could be fairly bleak, excepting one event at the end of this month...

YAY SUMMER!!!!
The very, very, very first thing that I am going to be doing after finals week, in fact that SUNDAY is hopping on a plane and going to visit my family in Washington State! Yipppeeeeeee!!!!!
then, after I get back, from July 2-4 I am going to be at Disney Land with several friends celebrating one of my friend's b-day.
Then, I am just going to be working and enjoying having three day weekends again...unless I can take that ONE class I need....
This is going to be a great summer....

Well, lets see -- adopt my sweet baby girl!
Ride some old trains.
Swim, swim, swim.
Road trips with dogs and kids and lots of noise.
Hopefully, get a few gigs.
Oh, and hole up in a motel room by myself on July 16 to read The Half Blood Prince.

This summer is SUPER busy for me already. In June I am rocking Texas. (Is Texas ready?) I am going to visit some CAA members all over the place. Um. I have a few scattered events in June and August for UFC parties. (friends getting together to catch a PPV...we have a party) Um...August also holds Soulfest. I am renting a cottage in New Hampshire with 3 friends of mine...thats gonna rock. This summer is gonna fly by.

X_X I'm going to be freezing my rear-end off standing at the bus stop in some unheard of hour of the morning to catch a bus into uni. Don't we just feel the love? :P
EDit: did I mention the possibility of snow and frost? O, and it will be pitch black too ;)

I'm so excited! Summer comes in about a week and a half for me

It feels like this one wont be as great as most of mine are, though, because the usual family trip down south to visit relatives will only be about half the usual length and because I might have to get a job (for the first time). I just moved to a new neighborhood and no nobody here so I'll have to/get to go exploring :P
