Talk about anything in here.

Do I freak you guys out? XD;;

Postby AngelSakura » Sun May 08, 2005 7:10 pm

I realized recently that I might be scaring some people. I have a great deal of affection and respect for every single member of CAA, and I trust you guys entirely. This leads to me addressing members, more often than not, as "my dear User Name" or "User Name-chan" and, in some cases, "User Name-sama". Even members I don't know that well often get called "my dear User Name". I wonder if it creeps anyone out.
Think happy thoughts.

It doesn't freak me out- probably cause I do the same thing. I don't mind it at all, actually. I think it builds a sense of family here. It's better then posting in some forum where everybody's a stranger.

If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you are not going to make an awful lot of work. All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself. Things occur to you. If you’re sitting around trying to dream up a great art idea, you can sit there a long time before anything happens. But if you just get to work, something will occur to you and something else will occur to you and something else that you reject will push you in another direction. Inspiration is absolutely unnecessary and somehow deceptive. You feel like you need this great idea before you can get down to work, and I find that’s almost never the case." - Chuck Close[/color]

No, you don't freak me out at all. In fact, I do the same thing. Alot.

I can't tell you the number of times that I've been writting a PM and closed it with "Love, --Osaka". Then I'd look at it again, almost send it, look at it again, consider sending it, and finally erase it. It's hard to balance showing your friendship with not creeping someone out.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Very funny Osaka.

For those of you oblivious, Osaka is trying to make me relive my darkest childhood memories. She and my cousins would all run away from me yelling, "Yumie the monster! Yumie the monster!" And I would cry and chase after them and never catch them. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go seek Christian counseling. *bursts into tears and assumes fetal position*

You don't creep me out at all...in fact, I don't even know you that well. XD

Seriously, though, I do that...I call friends of mine who are girls names like "honey", "doll", "dahling" (yes, dahling, not darling) and I've wondered before if it creeps them out, but they seem to take it in good humor, so I wouldn't worry too much. MOST people can handle it. Some people can't. But most can.

Na, you don’t freak any body out…or maybe you do…

CAAER #1: We have found AngelSakura. May we burn her?
CAA MEMBERS: Burn her! Burn! Burn her! Burn her!
HS5000: How do you know she is AngelSakura?
CAAER #2: She looks like one.
CAA MEMBERS: Right! Yeah! Yeah!
HS5000: Bring her forward.
ANGELSAKURA: I'm not AngelSakura. I'm not AngelSakura.
HS5000: Uh, but you are dressed as one.
ANGELSAKURA: They dressed me up like this.
CAA MEMBERS: Augh, we didn't! We didn't...
ANGELSAKURA: And this isn't my nose. It's a false one.
HS5000: Well?
CAAER #1: Well, we did do the nose.
HS5000: The nose?
CAAER #1: And the hat, but she is AngelSakura!
CAAER #2: Yeah!
CAA MEMBERS: We burn her! Right! Yeaaah! Yeaah!
HS5000: Did you dress her up like this?
CAAER #1: No!
CAAER #2 and 3: No. No.
CAAER #2: No.
CAAER #1: No.
VILLAGERS #2 and #3: No.
CAAER #1: Yes.
CAAER #2: Yes.
CAAER #1: Yes. Yeah, a bit.
CAAER #3: A bit.
VILLAGERS #1 and #2: A bit.
CAAER #3: A bit.
CAAER #1: She has got a wart.
HS5000: What makes you think she is AngelSakura?
CAAER #3: Well, she turned me into a newt.
HS5000: A newt?
CAAER #3: I got better.
CAAER #2: Burn her anyway!
CAAER #1: Burn!
CAA MEMBERS: Burn her! Burn! Burn her!...
HS5000: Quiet! Quiet! Quiet! Quiet! There are ways of telling whether she is AngelSakura.
CAAER #1: Are there?
CAAER #2: Ah?
CAAER #1: What are they?
CAA MEMBERS: Tell us! Tell us!...
HS5000: Tell me. What do you do with AngelSakuraes?
CAAER #2: Burn!
CAAER #1: Burn!
CAA MEMBERS: Burn! Burn them up! Burn!...
HS5000: And what do you burn apart from AngelSakuraes?
CAAER #1: More AngelSakuraes!
CAAER #3: Shh!
CAAER #2: Wood!
HS5000: So, why do AngelSakuraes burn?
[pause]
CAAER #3: B--... 'cause they're made of... wood?
HS5000: Good! Heh heh.
CAA MEMBERS: Oh, yeah. Oh.
HS5000: So, how do we tell whether she is made of wood?
CAAER #1: Build a bridge out of her.
HS5000: Ah, but can you not also make bridges out of stone?
CAAER #1: Oh, yeah.
HS5000: Does wood sink in water?
CAAER #1: No. No.
CAAER #2: No, it floats! It floats!
CAAER #1: Throw her into the pond!
CAA MEMBERS: The pond! Throw her into the pond!
HS5000: What also floats in water?
CAAER #1: Bread!
CAAER #2: Apples!
CAAER #3: Uh, very small rocks!
CAAER #1: Cider!
CAAER #2: Uh, gra-- gravy!
CAAER #1: Cherries!
CAAER #2: Mud!
CAAER #3: Uh, churches! Churches!
CAAER #2: Lead! Lead!
MODERATOR: A duck!
CAA MEMBERS: Oooh.
HS5000: Exactly. So, logically...
CAAER #1: If... she... weighs... the same as a duck,... she's made of wood.
HS5000: And therefore?
CAAER #2: AngelSakura!
CAAER #1: AngelSakura!
CAA MEMBERS: AngelSakura! AngelSakura!...

Nope. I give people terms of affection too, like "gentle heart, dear heart, lovely, sweets, sweetheart, pretty", etc. though I typically save such terms for people who are very special to me.

Um, yeah, I'm serious in the sense that they did run away from me yelling "Yumie the monster," but it really doesn't bother me anymore. It made me pretty mad when I was a kid though, ha ha. They, however, seemed to get quite a bit of intense pleasure out of it. Tormenting the young and innocent has always been one of Osaka's favorite pasttimes,.
