The Inkhana appreciation thread!

Postby TheMelodyMaker » Sat May 07, 2005 9:36 pm

I've been wanting to do this for a while, but I just thought I'd start up this thread for the purpose of appreciating one of the sweetest, funniest, smartest, most Christ-like young people whom I've had the pleasure of meeting and befriending (even though I've never seen her face... ). The Lord has blessed me greatly with her friendship, as I'm sure He's blessed many of the rest of you with her friendship as well. I praise Him just for making her who she is. :)

So, without further ado: This thread's for you, Ink! ^_^ *hug* (And I know that because you don't have a lot of pride factor, if any at all, I can get away with making this thread without it going to your head. ;) )
@)}~`,~ Carry this rose in your signature as thanks to Inkhana, for all she has done for us in the past.Even though she is no longer a moderator, she has done an awful lot for us while she was and she deserves thanks. ^_^

Awww, about time someone did this!

Ink-sensei, you already know how much I utterly adore you and your every brush stroke. XD You've been so encouraging to me; you always provide me with whatever tools or advice I need, you listen to my half-finished plotlines with enthusiasm, and you are always ready to come running when I need someone to spout off too. You've also been an incredible mod, who never minds doing the thankless job you do. We've been through thick and thin, sharing shoulders for some time now...and I'm so glad you let this geeky wanna-be artist follow after you. It is my deep desire that I provide the same love, encouragement, and overall awesomeness you (and your sis!) have provided to me. Love you Ink-sensei! Can't wait to rock Fort Worth with you.

Ink flys under the rader a lot. She does a great deal on the site but rarely is in the limelight. (heh, somtimes thats good, and somtimes bad) But yeah, its good to give people "roses" here on Earth. Thanks for your work Ink.

Congratulations Inkhana on your 100th email!... uh, I mean, congrats, Inky-chan! Your bishie concoctions have been a source of inspiration for me ever since DITLOCAA. So I move that we make a gigantic golden monument in her honor. What should it look like, given Inkhana's steadfast determination not to reveal her identity? I don't know. Perhaps it should be of a gigantic Iriel or something. If Tomkyou were still with us--

Great idea Melmak. This thread (and I imagine a couple of copycats like it) are a long time in coming. I thank God for all that you do and all that you are. Same goes for Shi, Ash, Shatterheart, OP, Shoo, Gypsy, LB, UC, and Straylight. Oh yeah, and that mysterious 'development' I've been hearing so much about, XD.

Thanks Ink, we appreciate you so much.

All Hail Inkhana!

Certainly one of the Mods we'd like to see more around here. I can't add much that hasn't already been covered by the other contributors to the thread. But lets just say that we all like Inkhana for all her hard work, dedication and such. Not very good with words, am I?

I've been trying to be on more frequently, but work has me pretty busy at the moment. I don't even keep up with CAA as I should. >.< But I get points for trying, right? hehehe

But yeah, I should stay in better contact with you guys. It just doesn't always work out like I want it to. If all else fails, you can catch me for a little on AIM at night to see what's going on, even if I am still working...XD

Yes. I have never really gotten to know Inkhana before, besides the few times I sent her an IM regarding one thing or another. However, from reading her posts, and from everyone else's opinion of her, it is easy to say she's a wonderful person. Thank you, Ink, for all you have done. You will be missed.

Steelblood was the first Christian manga that I looked at, and I must say, it was very inspiring to me. Would it be contradictory to say, "Thanks for all the thankless jobs you've done."? Hmm... oh well. Many blessings as you continue to walk with the Lord.

Inkhana=awesomeness!

We lurves you, Inkhana-sensei!
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.
