Wow! I didn't know there were other people like me lol!!! I had a similar weird experience after downing a few Jolts - knocked me out cold for a couple hours!
Anyway, i'm always hyper and twitching, so it's hard to tell if i'm affected or not (Although i think in small amounts i do get more hyper, but in large doses i fall asleep)

I don't get headaches usually. sry bout yours.

Hey its no big deal, I get used to them. Migraines give me trouble from time to time but on the positive side migraines are also a blessing. They increase sensitivity, awareness, and mental functions. At least they increase them only when they aren’t malfunction i.e. the headaches X___X

Caffeine makes my heart race which is not a pleasant feeling. Therefore, everything I drink now is decaf.

Caffeine builds up tolerance, and it's possible to overdose on it (muscles malfunctioning, heart included, and eventually death).

That's why I prefer sugar.

I have a very high caffeine tolerance, at least as a device to keep me awake - it has no effect at all.

I've also suffered from migraine-like headaches my entire life. Actually, I can't ever remember not having a headache. I always have one. Caffeine is a good headache remedy.

Fun fact: Asa Chandler, the man who turned Coca-Cola into a household name, originally bought the patent for it from its inventor Dr. John Pemberton because the caffeinated syrup helped ease his frequent headaches.

I double probably drink one of those Double Shots and fall fast asleep. Caffeine really has 0 effect on me.

But concerning those who have not built up my tolerance against caffeine: My cousin wasn't allowed to drink caffeine much at all during his teenage years. One night, his uncle from out of town, gave him a little of that Starbucks coffee ice cream. Not ten minutes later he began laughing hysterically at the fan because "it was spinning round and round."
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

I've been pumping myself full of caffine for a while now, and I haven't even remotely begun to "build up an immunity." Heck, I just walk into a Starbuck's and I go nuts.

My boyfriend on the other hand...doesn't even get weirded out by taking Nyquil, more or less by consuming caffine. :eyebrow: I guess you could say we balance each other out nicely.

It's weird, caffeine makes me all shaky and twitchy, but it also makes me sleepy and mellow. So I guess it all sorta balances out in the end?

caffeine no longer has any noticeable effect on me. I just need to have some at least once a day or I start getting cranky. been trying to cut down though...as much soda as I drink, I'm gonna make myself diabetic one day. >_<

but when I was a young teen, man, you didn't want to give me caffeine. I would get really, really hyper and start laughing at pretty much anything. I think I made myself immune drinking all that Mountain Dew back then

I do wish I could get an energy boost from caffeine though. I feel tired a lot -_-

That's hilarious!

I wouldn't know, since I don't drink much caffiene. In fact, I think that a few decades from now coffee-drinkers will be treated much like smokers are nowadays.
Does that sound crazy to you? However, both of my parents are addicted to it. Most things that are addictive aren't good.

Such drinks seem so unhealthy...I dislike caffiene and mostly avoid it.

Huh. I've cut back significantly. It was required when I was in college (represses memories), so I was up to about 8 pots a day. (No that's not a typo). I'm down to 3 - 4 cups a day, and I try not to have much after 3:00 PM.

Needless to say, the word "tolerance" in my dictionary is a bit debatable.

Hmm, my caffeiene tolerance. Mine is pretty up there; it takes a good 10 or 11 glasses or soda before I start feeling anything other than a strong urge to make a pitstop. However, I did have a scary incident with one of those power amp drinks, so I stay far, far away from energy drinks.

However, I do drink a LOT of soda at work. For one thing, just the sensation of having acid in my mouth helps keep me focused and energized. And secondly:

Fun fact: Asa Chandler, the man who turned Coca-Cola into a household name, originally bought the patent for it from its inventor Dr. John Pemberton because the caffeinated syrup helped ease his frequent headaches.

I get a mild headache at work if I don't. Something about caffiene helps it. Advil makes me put my head against the soda machine and go to sleep (dead serious).

So I guess you could say my caffiene tolerance is pretty high. It takes a LOT to get me going, but even a glass or two at the right time makes me feel a lot better.

So I don't drink coffee or soda...but I must admit I am a sugar addict. Most of the time I eat it when I am depressed, and then I just make the depression worse.

Sugar is a drug. It's addictive and slow-acting poison! I've tried to stop eating sugar, but I often fluctuate between no sugar at all and excessive amounts. Then I get very sick because I have no immunity to it from going without sugar for a week, and the cycle repeats...

Right now my mom just brought home a ton of candy from the grocery store. Here I am, all high-and-mighty, talking about how caffiene is addictive and terrible while stuffing my face with Nerds.

Ahem...anyway...I like caffiene, although I'm starting to realize it's properties as a drug. I act like a completely different person...

...but I'm more fun when I'm unpredictable...

o.o Tea, yes. Coffee, no. XD;

Anyway, a cup or two of tea doesn't really keep me awake. \ O_O / But give me more than four, and I'm an energyball.

I've only had two or three cups of coffee in my lifetime. I disliked each experience. XD;

caffine doesn't do anything at all for me. and i don't drink coffee or tea, or any hot drink for that matter... i don't like them for some reason. my only exception is hot Tang, and i have met only one other person who likes hot Tang, and that's my boyfriend... *ponders this* a friend down the hall in my dorm weaned herself from caffine... she was really addicted to the point of shaking when she didn't get enough. she is caffine free now.

For me, I can drink as much Frappachinos and Amps and I still fail at trying to stay awake (I even failed another all-nighter recently while drinking a few Fraps). I can pretty much drink anything with caffeine and still fall asleep some time or another. Even with sugar, I am prone to falling more asleep than awake with too much sugar in my system.

So I really don't know how to keep awake! :P
