Where were you born?

Talk about anything in here.

Rock on. My grandmother lives there.

Sorry, Ash, I meant in name.

I see. For the longest time I thought Houston, TX was the ONLY Houston--I mean, it was named after Sam Houston. Little did I know there are many little Houstons scattered across the country. :eyebrow:

I always thought it would be cool to be from some little funny-sounding town like Good Night (which DOES exist).

My parents found me behind the tire of their car wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a makeshift cradle of Little Debbie boxes and twinkie snack wrappers. So...

That means I was born in Augusta, GA.

Fresno, CA. Square and flat city, located in a valley. There were a few fields though, which are all housing developments now. They fixed it up a little since I was there last, put in some palm trees and malls etc. The nice sections of town always looked nice, the whole town isn't dumpy- that's just the way I remember it.

It was scorching hot in the summer and freezing in the winter. There was a lot of smog. In the area where I lived, (the worst section of town) there was also lots of crime. In some places if you were bringing your groceries inside, you had to lock it and close the trunk or else when you came back to the parking lot, all your groceries and/or your car would be gone, LOL. My parents' bluntness when it comes to safety issues (i.e. "Mommy, why can't I play outside?" "Someone will take you." or "Daddy, why do I always have to lock the doors?" "When you get home, all your stuff will be gone or someone will be waiting for you in the house.") and my natural cautious nature helped to concoct my severe case of paranoia. XP This is why I always map out two exits in a building, make sure that I am in a good position to escape, keep everyone out of the perimeter of my personal space, and hope for the best. >"<

Back on topic- I moved to a bunch of different places within the city, and then when I was eight I began the onslaught of moves to really distant places within the US. (which I use as my excuse as to why I don't have any friends)

That was depressing...maybe I just shouldn't post anything about where I was born. Oh well, since I went to all the trouble to type this out...*posts it anyway*

That sounds like the mall near here, actually. But truthfully, if they have a Waldenbooks within driving distance, I am happy. And rock on Creed!

I was born in Niagra Falls, NY and now live in South Wales, NY.... South Wales... the true meaning of nothingness...

I wanna move to Japan!!!
The Straight and Narrow

I chose to walk the straight and narrow road, but one day I lost balance and fell off it. I had fallen onto some sharp rocks and injured myself. There were people passing by who would merely stare at me, and then keep walking. Thoughts of worthlessness entered into my mind, and as I chose to believe the lies, my wounds grew worse. I was so overcome with grief that I nearly gave up... but then a man walked up to me and stopped. Without saying a word, he started to wrap my wounds, he gave me some water, and then lifted me up and embraced me. He then whispered these words into my ear, "I love you my child." As he said those words I could feel all the worthlessness and despair fall away. He then held out his hands. They had huge holes in them. He then said, "Walk with me." I then took his hand and we walked together. Every now and then I would fall from the road, but no matter where I fell, he was always there to pick me up and tell me that He loved me.
