Fresno, CA. Square and flat city, located in a valley. There were a few fields though, which are all housing developments now. They fixed it up a little since I was there last, put in some palm trees and malls etc. The nice sections of town always looked nice, the whole town isn't dumpy- that's just the way I remember it.
It was scorching hot in the summer and freezing in the winter. There was a lot of smog. In the area where I lived, (the worst section of town) there was also lots of crime. In some places if you were bringing your groceries inside, you had to lock it and close the trunk or else when you came back to the parking lot, all your groceries and/or your car would be gone, LOL. My parents' bluntness when it comes to safety issues (i.e. "Mommy, why can't I play outside?" "Someone will take you." or "Daddy, why do I always have to lock the doors?" "When you get home, all your stuff will be gone or someone will be waiting for you in the house.") and my natural cautious nature helped to concoct my severe case of paranoia. XP This is why I always map out two exits in a building, make sure that I am in a good position to escape, keep everyone out of the perimeter of my personal space, and hope for the best. >"<
Back on topic- I moved to a bunch of different places within the city, and then when I was eight I began the onslaught of moves to really distant places within the US. (which I use as my excuse as to why I don't have any friends)
That was depressing...maybe I just shouldn't post anything about where I was born. Oh well, since I went to all the trouble to type this out...*posts it anyway*
