When I was 20 Carter was still in the White House,we had inflation,America was suffering from malaise,Billy Beer was around,Laverne & Shirley and Three's Company were both still going strong on tv,Robin Williams was mostly still known for being Mork...Nanu Nanu...from Mork & Mindy, the Sonics and Bullets(now
Wizards)battled for the NBA crown,Denver was yet to win it's first Superbowl,
the Iranian 'students' had taken over the American Embassy in Teheran, anime
was little known in America and was referred to as Japanimation, etc.

Trust me...it's not that great a milestone.

Anyway, I have to say that I don't feel like an adult, not really. I don't really feel like "one of the guys" with those in the Tuesday men's prayer group. I will say, though, that getting involved in church groups, especially with those older than yourself, is a very healthy and very worthwhile pursuit.

I have a question to ask all of you:
What do you think of the "extended adolescence" period that seems to exist in the U.S. (and admittedly a lot of the rest of the world)? Is it healthy? Does it encourage freeloading, laziness, or a lack of responsibility? Is it a necessary evil (thanks to college costing a fortune)?

Kudos to all of you who pay your own way...I sure couldn't hack that.

yeah i see people not taking resonsiblity and such but i also see a lot of my freinds pay there own way and take care of there family
i profess my self a slacker to a point but if some needs taking care of in my family (since i am the only man in my imdeate family i take care of it like moving i moved my mom and my grand mom) i think there are plently of people that pick true bums slack. but i still think more people need to take resonsiblity and grow up
