I bought Diana Degarmo's CD last week and I think it's waaay cool. I love "Cardboard Castles" "Emotional" and "Then I Woke Up" The only song I didn't really like was "Go On and Cry"

Wow, I've only seen the Fantasia CD. Of course, I wasn't planning on buying either of the CD's. I did buy Ruben's and Kimberly Locke's - only because I wanted her to beat out Clay Aiken and I felt sorry for her. That's about it. Oh yes, and I got my daughter the Kelly Clarkson CD. I don't know if we'll buy her new one.

I have to REALLY want a CD to spend the money - they're so expensive. I did see - and this is so weird - a Josh Gracin CD. He was one of the worst singers on the previous shows and that totally surprised me. Ah well, maybe some people will buy it.

The local country station is always playing his songs. I think they're pretty good. I'd heard he was doing fairly well.

About tonight: I think there's a chance Scott will go home now, because of the way the judges hammered him. So I'm happy .

And I think Constantine will at least be in the bottom three. He slaughtered that song SO BAD. . . it made me sad, because I like that song, and I was just waiting for him to start singing it in key. . . and he never did.

As for everybody else, they all did prooty good. Anthony was a little shaky, but I think it was a better performance for him. So as for who else is going to be in the bottom three, I have no idea who to predict. I guess it would have to be Anthony just because America hasn't seemed to like him too much lately. Guess we'll find out tomorrow.

Bottom Three guesses: I say the bottom three is Scott, Constantine, and Vonzell. As for the one kicked out...I guess....Vonzell, actully! Let's see if this week will break my guessing streak. Part of this is due to the fact so far about 3/4ths of my calls to Scott's number have gotten a busy signal. This is the first time I've encountered that much congestion on his line.

This could get really petty if I start complaining and ranting, so I'm just gonna state the facts.

Hands down BO rocked the house. He had the loudest applause. He had the highest praise from the judges. He is REAL He is the REAL THING, and he's very down-to-earth. He is a true musician - did you see all his guitars? I am biased, being a fellow guitarist. He's funny and has a great smile. He's naturally out there. And as a plus, did you hear when his mom said she had hoped he would go into Gospel music. how cute

Out of all the contestants, Bo is the only one who hasn't changed. He still dresses the same. He still acts the same. He's not pumping iron at the gym two hours a day to be someone else (Anthony ). He's not flirting with Paula and still trying to "act" like a rocker (Constantine).

He's who he is.

BO stole the show last night and everyone knows it.

My list in order of best to least:

1. BO - HE OWNS
2. Carrie (Randy and Paula don't know country)
3. Vonzell (I loved when her bro started crying - how sweet)
4. Anthony - although, I could have gone with Constantine here, I just can't decide which poser disgusts me more
5. Constantine - refer to the Anthony remark
6. Scott - He was flat and off-key. I actually like him more than the other two posers, but he didn't cut it last night.

I think the general consensus, and I watched Randy on Jay Leno the other night, is why? Why is Scott and Anthony still around when good vocalists like Anwar, Nadia and Jessica are gone? I have to agree with Randy, why is Scott and Anthony still around? He just threw up his hands and said, oh well.

Scott should go home, but I fear another better singer will go home tonight. Scott you are done. I'd rather see Anthony or Constantine go home, but Scott needs to.

Perhaps poser is the wrong term, this is how I see Anthony, like every other little blonde guy who unbuttons his shirt and tries to make it with the myriad tweenie fans on Radio Disney. He's changed his look and his attitude. He's working out. If you noticed his fans in the audience - Heather Locklear (the blonde)and her daughter and the tweenie friend. There is nothing original about him. He's just like every other little spikey-haired, blonde half-way decent singer out there who wants to make it.

I agree with Simon after his performance - I hated it. It was painful to listen through, and I was hoping Celine would jump on the stage and save our ears from the massive blood flow. Even Randy paused before giving Anthony his props, because Randy knows it wasn't impressive, it was just blah.

This guy states on his site to all vote for Scott because he won as the worst. I've heard it's very popular and it's a very mean-spirited joke for those who are talented. I actually had the site up, but removed it because I realized the side bar had comments from people who were definitely NOT Christian, so they were pretty raw. Anyway, Yumie, I hope Scott goes next week, but who knows if there are idiots who vote like this, just to be funny, he may stick around. -__-;;

You people are doing it again . I think everyone needs to listen to what Simon said to Scott near the end of the episode. Don't have the exact quote but I can get it later, since I taped the show, but he said something like "If it was my choice I would have sent you home but if America gives you enough votes to stay then you deserve to be there". And why is everyone so mad anyway, I thought you all HATED Constantine. Shouldn't you be happy?

I don't agree with everything on their site (the horrible audtions are not hilarious, people should vote for who they LIKE the best, and it's not right to "revenge vote" against the people who are most popular) but I think they do make some good points with that.

I think the show is in dire need of a reform for the voting process, wouldn't you agree? I think the producers should do one of two things next year, depenind on where you view the problem is.

1. If you think the problem is the voting system then these two options might help. A) Only ONE vote per person: We can only vote once for the president, but we can vote a zillion times for the American Idol?? That's not fair. Restricting the voting would prevent any one fanbase from over-inflating the support for their favorite competitor and would more acuratly represent who America really supports.
B). Person with the HIGHEST votes gets kicked off: We should vote for who we want to kick off, like in survivor, not for who we want to stay in the competition. This would make things easier and more direct.

however...(sarcasm mode) 2) if you think that America is just too stupid to know who they like the most, then maybe they should just abolish voting completly. Next season they'll just let the judges pick who goes every week, we can just sit back and let them tell us who is the best American Idol, since we obviously can't figure out who we like without some help. (end sarcasm mode)

So, I guess I agree with Simon and the producers of the show. And frankly, if they want to have a contest where they are the ones who choose the bottom three for someone to vote off - I'd probably be all for that. I think this would be the best way to do it.

Anyway, I think they should change the voting system, since there are sites like the one I mentioned, where people only vote to go against the flow, to rebel against the ones who coordinate the show. Does that make it right? I guess it's cool to be for the underdog, but really...

Or, maybe Simon and the producers of the show actually can see talent. I mean, they have been in the business for awhile. They want someone who will sell albums to win and who's professional. If I was an album producer - which Randy and Simon are - I would want someone talented to win, and someone without a diva attitude. I'm not saying any of the remaining singers are divas, please don't think that, I'm just saying that I haven't noticed either Bo or Carrie having a bad attitude throughout this process. I have no idea what your talking about there. I only hang out at two American Idol related topics, this one and the Scott group I'm a member of. I haven't posted on any other message boards about American Idol, or even read other message boards other than this one. I think the only time I brought in something from another group was when I copy-pasted the thing about Scott allegedly getting locked out of the hotel, which made him late to his group practice. (edit: and that ranking list of the contstants from last week. almots forgot about that one)

Changing the voting system to "vote for the worst" and "one vote per person" would help lessen stupid voting like on that site, but you couldn't ever eliminate it completly, unless they took away voting, because there is no way to filter out people who are voting for "unjust" reasons.

I never said that someone who isn't talented should win, and I don't think the audience was faking their reactions to contests or anything. (although it is supposed to be true that the show uses "clapping prompts" to get the audience motivated at times. din;t someone mention that earlyer in this topic?) The point I've always been trying to make, that no one every seems to get, is simply this. "Talent is in the eye of the beholder" There, that's all it is. You support the person you think is the most talented, but that doesn't mean that other people who genuinly (that site you found doesn't count) support different competitors are "wrong" or something. And I think it's kind of ironic that most of the people here seem to like Simon so much, but don't seem to notice when he ranks Constantine higher than Bo, or gives Anthony a good review. Just finished watching the show and I had to type because it was a joy to watch Bo and Carrie tonight. ^______^

Anyway in order of best for the first songs of the night:

1. Carrie - She rocked that song!
2. Bo - He could easily tie Carrie, but I placed him in 1st place for the second song.
3. Scott - props for the little man. He was still pitchy, but it was the best song he's done since the show began. I still prefer George Benson's version, but he did... "okay" as Randy said.
4. Vonzell - Whoa, worst performance by her. What was that song?!o_o
5. Anthony - This song gave him the title back as "Mr. Karoake." That was the worst performance I've seen in awhile - since before Nadia was booted off.

For the second songs of the night:

1. Bo - He was just awesome all night! And cute... ^_______^
2. Carrie - She was awesome all night also.
3. Vonzell - She was a bit pitchy, but not bad.
4. Scott - Pitchy and a bit worse than the first song.
5. Anthony - He was horrendous!

Overall:

BO was AWESOME!!! The others truly can't touch him (except Carrie)... bunch of wannabees!!! XDDDDDDD

Carrie is the only one who was also AWESOME!!! She's just so great. I am having a tough time deciding which is better, Bo or Carrie. :/

Vonzell was pitchy and her first song stunk. It was her worst night. I hope she doesn't go home after tonight, but she just might because the other two worst singers have more of a fan base.

Scott had one of his better nights. I foresee him sticking around.

Anthony really should go home. He is just corny and not very good. *hands him the karoaki award* You deserve it, Anthony.
