I met Rocketshipper! ^^

Postby Jeikobu » Fri Apr 22, 2005 10:36 pm

Not sure if you all are interested but I thought I'd share it since I'm really happy about it. Tonight I met Rocketshipper at a college and we watched Spirited Away and the 1st ep of Getbackers subbed in the anime club there. I must say I had alot of fun. I've never done something like that before. Until tonight my only friends IRL were my family. So it's great to finally be able to get out and meet people my own age who like what I like (I've been homeschooled most of my life, and the couple times when I've gone to a school, I haven't fit in). Tonight I felt like I fit in alot better. It's easier when you can all agree on the same big interest. Rocketshipper was very nice and helpful and I'm really looking forward to seeing him again. This was really a great experience, one that I hope continues to be great. ^^

Cool I'd like to meet some CAA people eventually but I believe only two people on here are in my state.

I love to hear stories of CAAer's meeting IRL. It's cool that the relationships here can spill over, so to speak.

Move a little west, Yojimbo. There's lots of us in oHIo.

Where does that anime club meet at? If it's somewhat close I might go...(I live on the eastern end of the Springs...)

Yeah, I've only met one other person (besides my brother) who was a CAA member...But she stopped coming ages ago so that doesn't really count.

I've met people out of the blue before at concerts from forums but I have yet to meet someone from CAA. Anyone going to Cornerstone, Illinois this year?

We'll vote on what we'll watch when the time comes. We'll take stuff and vote when we get there. It just has to be able to fit into the meeting, so no series or anything (unless they're very small). It can also be a Japanese live action film, or something like it, like The Last Samurai.
