Anime Place You'd Like to Live In

Postby Haibane Shadsie » Sat Oct 25, 2003 9:30 pm

Exactly what the topic says. There's been some neat worlds in anime... which one or two or three do you think you might like to live in?

I think the Town of Glie in "Haibane Renmei" looks like a neat place to live. It has the feel of a quaint, old style, European town. There's a lot of nature in it, such as the fields at the Hill of Winds, and it's got a lot of old archtecture... it just looks like such a romantic place. The major problem with living here, though... is that dang wall! No one, human or Haibane, is allowed to leave the town! If I lived there, I'd be way too curious about what the outside world is like, and would feel trapped by that wall.

I also think I'd love to live in the world in which "Pokemon" takes place. That world would be perfect for me! I love animals... and the idea of capturing, keeping, and training weird animals with superpowers is really, really cool! It would be, like, a dream for me. Perhaps the coolest thing about it is that I wouldn't have to have pens and stuff to keep my critters in... they live in the Pokeballs, which I could keep in my pocket, and thus travel is enabled. I love the theme of the "quest" in stories, and people in "Pokemon" go on quests to be the best pokemon trainers. I haven't watched the "Pokemon" anime in ages (at least not new episodes), but I just think that the world is neat... and the prospect of having lots and lots of fun animals with freaky powers.

Where in anime might you like to live?

Don't Ask me why but Mabase from FLCL seems cool but I Don't know about it if all that crazy stuff is going to be happening all the time! Oh and the Tokyo witch megatokyo takes place in. I know MT is a manga not an anime but there's my picks. Oh, and Town of Glie sounds cool too.

I think it would be interesting and pretty cool to live in Cephiro, the world in which Magic Knight Rayearth takes place. In Cephiro, the rule is that wishes become reality--I have a very creative mind and strong imagination, so I think I would have fun, but would have to be careful, in Cephiro.

I think it would be cool to live on the moon like the Moonrace in Turn A Gundam, the low gravity and the lovely views of the earth would be awsome, and being a mobile suit pilot has its perks even if its only a Flat :P

Oh yeah, and that world made out of fruit in Final Fantasy Unlimited. The guys there may have been a lil bit dull, but at least you wouldnt get hungry/thirsty, and there was that cool underground movement too. Come to think of it theres alot of interesting anime places id like to be in, praise G-d he created this one perfect though :)

Oh I know! KaibaWorld from Yugioh.................I'm just kidding!!!

Well if I had some serious martial arts training it would be cool to live in Kenshin or Inuyasha's time. Of course that would be no running water though. :sniffle: Oh wait I know! In scrapped princess I would want to live in the palace. I'd just kick the stupid and ugly king out and take over. :thumb:

I totally agree!
In a world shrouded in mystery, the winds of change begin to blow.

Living on the moon might be kind of cool. (Now where did I put that lifetime oxygen supply? *rummages through odds and ends* )

I'll probably change my mind later, :shake: but I wouldn't mind living in a place like Glie. I'd then like to take my summer vacation at Chiyo's beach house with the Azu Manga Daioh gang. Of course, that might be a problem since you can't go past the walls of Glie. :stressed:

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.
